If you like no build Fortnite you are gonna love this. It's basically Fortnite with powers. (Disclaimer: I haven't played Fortnite since the first year it came out so this is just from memory but yeah it feels like a Fortnite clone to me)

I hate leaving negative reviews. I can usually find the good in things. buuuut - TLDR: F**K this game. The story is kinda good so just watch the cutscenes on YouTube or something

I just finished the Netflix Castlevania series and was like oh yeah I've been meaning to play Lord's of Shadow for years! Perfect way to celebrate the awesome "anime" so I really wanted to like this game.
Unfortunately I would say a sharp stake in the eye would be more enjoyable

I'm the kind of guy who when I start a game I pretty much finish it whether I like the game or not so maybe it will get more fun but I'm already halfway through.

Maybe the game was good for it's time? Maybe it just didn't age well? I dunno

Take all the bad stuff from God of War, Assassin's Creed, and Dark Souls and multiply it cause they just kept doing the same thing over and over

Combat sucks. At first I was like damn I SUCK at this game.

I pride myself at being a pretty good gamer. I like hard games. The combat's not hard. It's just boring and tedious. It's boring because they give you all these awesome combos and like 80% of them are useless. They give you an amazing array of moves that if you ever try to use them you will immediately get bashed in the nuts because EVERYTHING just takes the damage you throw at them and rolls right through you. So you end up sticking with just swing swing dodge... Swing swing dodge. This is especially true for boss fights. If they wanted to make a Souls game the shoulda made a Souls game.

Also the BLOCK and DODGE button are basically the same button! I hate that crap.

The boss fights sans 1 or 2 are basically the same boss fights over and over again. Once you've fought one you've fought them all just in a different skin. They all have the SAME MOVES and they are basically just REGULAR ENEMIES WITH MORE HEALTH. Just Werewolves and trolls reskinned.

The camera SUCKS. A LOT. You can't see the enemy you are trying to fight half the time cause they are off camera. You can't find where you are supposed to go because the ledge is basically off camera.
Oh and you can't find a lot of the power ups because they are off camera which wouldn't be so bad if the jump/hit detection wasn't crap. Maybe it's the nature of this generation of games but invisible walls make it really uninteresting to explore and find gems of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ power. Just hopping around hoping to find a hole in the invisible wall... Or the ledge you spent 3 minutes trying to climb for nothing to happen and then you spend 15 minutes looking for another way to go only to have to look it up and see you WERE going the right way but apparently you were a millimeter off and the damn invisible wall was in your way.

You know how in Assassin's Creed you are trying to jump to the ledge on your left and instead you jump to your death? Yeah this game does that in spades. I can't tell you how many times I've fallen into pits for this reason.

Oh and to make matters worse you gotta revisit most of the levels if you wanna get all the power ups. I hate that ♥♥♥♥. If the game was fun maybe it would be better

I felt bad for my Twitch viewers cause I'm usually a very positive gamer. I like to give games the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah... I'm just gonna uninstall and watch some poor schlub play on youtube. Maybe I'll see what I was doing wrong. Or maybe I'll just be glad I uninstalled.

All around great game. I STILL haven't beat this game and I just keep coming back to it.

Elite dangerous Light/Star Citizen Lite and Rouge Lite

Great controls.

I honestly haven't paid a bit of attention to the story and honestly that just says how good the gameplay is to me.

GREAT Graphics. I have tried to get it to work in VR but for some reason - PROBABLY user error... but I did spend 30 min trying to figure out how to get my controls to work properly in VR to no avail. I bet it looks and feels amazing

Frustratingly hard learning curve that might turn off the casual gamer. There are really no other games out there that I know of with similar mechanics so its like learning to game all over again. Very intricate and varied combat system. Everytime you think "Oh i got this now" you find something else you need to learn.

When you actually start to learn what you are doing it just feels soooooo good and rewarding.

10/10 would get decapitated again.

Early Access Review
I received this game for free and wasn't sure if I would play it. At First I thought this was just another clone of Geometry Wars/Maelstrom. And when you first start it is. And then you start unlocking more and more weapon mods and the game gets better and better! Spent WAY more time on it already than I thought I would.

RPG Geometry Wars! Nuff said!

I was Witch Hunter the game through Keymailer and honestly wasn't expecting much. Usually with indie games the majority of them are half done and really nothing more then demos and the graphics in the preview looked kinda 10 yrs ago. Let's just say I was EXTREMELY pleasantly surprised.

Heads up: The game starts off extremely slow. No hand holding. No tutorial. You basically gotta figure everything out for yourself. At first I wasn't happy about that and almost gave up on the game.

Without giving away the fun.... I had no idea how to find the monster and spent at least the first hour just walking around before I found him the first time. Eventually I figured it out and it was game on from there. There were mini puzzles and secrets hidden throughout the map and the developer leaves clues lying around! I doubt I found everything the game has hidden.

When I beat the first monster I honestly thought I had completed the game and thought it was pretty neat. Then you the next "level" gets started and it just gets better from there!

I don't necessarily care about graphics if the game is good and even though these graphics look a little "dated" it doesn't take away from the experience in the least. The controls are extremely smooth and intuitive if you've ever played an FPS before.

Highly recommend if you are looking for an experience like you've never seen in gaming before! Very innovative!

TLDR: If you are looking for a Souls type 1st person horror game that is unlike anything you have played before you have found it!

VR

For the 1st time in my life I felt like I was living a Tron Game!

GORGEOUS

It's a REALLY good start for VR players

Made it to level 5 so far. The pacing was a little slow. There are basically sub levels before you hit the actual next level and next step in the difficulty really only raises 1-2 time per actual level (not sub levels)

You are pretty much playing the game to the beat of the music which is really cool and helps you figure out whats coming next. What might be my biggest gripe is the song.... never really changes. Its pretty much the same song on repeat so far through the entire game

I just played this with my sister and IMMEDIATELY bought the second one after finishing this one. SO... MUCH... FUN!!!

This was the escape room without having to drive the 5 hours experience to be able to be physically with her experience I had been looking for. The puzzles were difficult and made us think but didn't make us feel like strangling each other :)

I need more episodes NOW!!!!
