This is about GTA III and Vice City.
Personally I do not get the negative reviews that much.

I bought the games on steam (I do own the old PC versions and the Playstation 2 ones.)
Finished GTA III with 100%. It gave me a nostalgic feeling and the same joy as when the game was first released years ago.
Now busy with Vice and I am having a blast.

I read complaints about all the bugs that should be still in the game. Well I know when this DE version first released it was troubled with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of bugs.
Those were patched or most of them it seems. Well I did only encounter one bug or glitch in GTA III and that was a car hanging in the air near the first hideout.
Weird but not really game breaking. Now playing Vice I did not run into any so far but I just started.

Then there is the complaining about the FPS not being good enough. While I agree that out-of-the-box the dps was bad on my rig with specs well above what the game requires.
The launcer -dx12 option and setting the cars to screen made the game run butter smooth for me with stable FPS on ultra settings.
In GTA III there was a very rare occasional hiccup but the old versions had that too. Vice runs without a single stutter after driving around the whole first map one time.

The music missing from the games is a really personal thing. NOTE that GTA III is not missing a single song! The ones missing from Vice are hardly ruining anything for me,
there are enough stations and music still and the good old natter that makes you have a good laugh in between them.
San Andreas I never played so I cannot say anything about that one. There was nothing wrong with the sound for me except pushing the dialog volume a bit up.

Who cares about how the freaking desktop icons look!? As if you sitting in your chair watching them for an hour. You could have played the game instead lol.
I copy pasted one of the icons on my desktop to see and its not that bad actually.

Graphics are fine to me for a remaster. There are some nice improvements but nothing jaw dropping.
I do not share the opinion of people saying the atmosphere is ruined or gone. Perhaps the game is a bit too dark yes but you can configure that.
Also people that come from GTA V. Do NOT expect a same sort of game. This game was pimped up from and old classic years ago.

Is it worth the full price? Well it's three games but still I would say no. Is it worth picking up when on sale? Absolutely!
