I love this game and think it was absolutely worth the money spent.
Lots of puzzles, combat has good balance, world is beautiful, story is solid.
This feels like FEZ with combat and I had a great time playing.

I only have three complaints:
#1: The camera constantly following the bosses can make certain fights incredibly nauseating.
#2: The music is pretty forgettable and the game doesn't appear to have a musical motif.
#3: Got stuck for awhile because of where the East Forest's golden pad is placed in the Far Shore.

The overwhelming amount of expository dialogue combined with the constant loading screens ruined the pace of this game for me.

Too much text, not enough game.

This is an agonizingly slow uphill grind against RNG from start to finish.

This is a beautiful game with a fantastic soundtrack and an adorable cast.
The amount of personality and detail in every single aspect of this game completely blew me away!

It's got plenty of cute stuff to reward you with and the achievements range from funny to challenging.

The scale of this game is so massive that it's difficult to really compress all of it into a short Steam review.

Guacamelee has always had a really unique and fun approach to solving puzzles and defeating challenges, and the sequel delivers in droves on both of those aspects and more. The amount of love the team put into this game bleeds out of every single area, animation, and musical number, and I keep coming back to Guacamelee 2's soundtrack as an example of how to do it right.

The balance of difficulty scales up smoothly as you progress, and the optional challenges really push both the game and the player to the limit. Definitely recommend ♥

This game is challenging, but the journey is worth the effort.
Hollow Knight delivers a surprisingly mature story set in a gorgeous forgotten realm.
The visuals and music are both phenomenal, and the game is riddled with secrets and alternate routes that will keep you exploring.
Absolutely recommend.

Incredibly clever storywriting made this game a whole lot better than I expected it to be.
Telling you anything else would spoil this awesome game.

Early Access Review
Wallpaper Engine is really easy to use, and I'm thoroughly enjoying having an animated wallpaper.

I have nothing but nice things to say about this game.

Rain World is difficult - you're going to be struggling to survive in an ecosystem where almost everything wants to eat you, and it's absolutely thrilling. The AI for each of the different creatures you encounter is vicious and unforgiving, and the motif of hunt or be hunted is a pervasive theme throughout the game.

Rain World is huge, and the artistic style of the game gives it a lot of personality, easily setting it apart from a lot of games I've played that also cater to the post-apocalyptic, industrial game setting.

The game's description says that the control scheme gives Slugcat a unique sense of weight. It's hard to stress it enough that this statement is 100% accurate. It takes practice to learn to properly control your character in Rain World, but once you've mastered it, you're empowered to play with each area in crazy ways - you can have hours of fun just jumping around because this game's controls are so tight.

The OST is fantastic. My favorite track is Kayava.

If you're looking for a huge world to explore, challenging platforming, and adrenaline rushes - this is your game.
Also Moon is bae.

This one is not for the faint of heart. Hyper Light Drifter is challenging, and the checkpoints feel pretty spread-out.

The minimalistic way in which the story is presented helps to push the player into exploring the world on their own while still clearly defining key objectives along the way.

The gameplay is solid and engaging, fast-paced, and colorful. The game's environments are beautiful without being harsh on the eyes.

If I had to pick one thing to complain about, it's that the soundtrack feels kinda' out of place for a lot of the action scenes in this game, especially during the boss fights. It's good music but the vibe is all wrong when you have a lot going on and it's just a weird funeral dirge.
