This is my first steam review and I can think of no game that deserves it more. I have been playing for over a year and the amount of time and fun spent playing it is amazing. The developer and community are fantastic! As for the game itself it is a colony building simulator in which a few people have been stranded on an unknown, backwater rimworld far away from the main bustle of life. In the game there is no FTL (Faster Than Light) Travel. You and your colonists are alone and you must decide how you want to survive. Will you grow crops, build a wooden town in the open, and be kind to other factions or will you be evil, crazy, mountainous cannabilistic people who kill on sight? The choices are yours.

The game is quite helpful to new players while not very obnoxious to those used to it. There are many correct ways of survival and many goals, none of which you have to complete if you don`t want to. The game can be casual or brutal, or somewhere inbetween. Once more, the choices are all yours.

Also don't forget all of the fantastic steam workshop mods!


P.S. The game was certainly "Cool Before It Had A Chance To Win An Award"

Update: The game has only improved and exceeded my expectations further even further than before, and it is probably in the top five of all games I`ve ever played. For this year, and all prior, it has certainly been "Even Better Than I Expected".
