Amazing game! Think Star craft meets Halo. Very small tight-knit community of players and developers who still actively update things. It has a very very high skill ceiling so it is recommended to join a sever aimed specifically at newer players to help you "learn the ropes" before jumping in with the more advanced players.

Early Access Review
I started playing Stationeers ~2017 on a bootleg copy a friend gave me. It had its fair share of bugs, but it was super fun. A great immersive engineering/space concept to build bases and ships. The controls are a bit weird, however I played Space Station 13, which has very similar control schemes as this so it was no problem to pickup.

Skip forward a year or two and I purchased the full game not once, but TWICE so me and my friend could play together, along with 2 of the DLC's. I understood it was early access and bugs would be prevalent and some features would be unfinished, but I enjoyed the overall direction of the game and wanted to support its development.

That being said, the developers have severely let me down as a consumer. They took several systems that were working and either removed them completely or just broke them. Multiplayer code has undergone a "refactor" and now has more bugs than it did in 2017. Mother ships (Your own flyable ship/base you could build) have been completely removed and replaced by a pre-built rocket that will teleport you to wherever you want to go (Think specific planets). They have added more new content and not fixed bugs from older content, and as if this was not bad enough, they added YET ANOTHER DLC to purchase.

All of these factors combined forces me to not recommend this game. I feel as though RocketWerkz has changed directions of the game completely, and I do not feel it is worthy of $35 (Ignoring the $27 in DLCs). Adding more features while not correcting issues of previously added features is a recipe for death in the video game world.

edit 12/4/24 - There are now a staggering $79.95 worth of DLC content purchasable for this game, still in early access as well.

Super grindy, and full of bugs, Grinded for 2 hours for a stack of a certain resource, went to smelt it and ofc was hit with one of its many multitude of bugs and lost 2 hours of work. But hey! Atleast the uninstall button works!

Fun game, however there is one big problem.

This game is pretty fun and has some nice content, however even though it is advertised as a Free to play or (F2P), it is EXTREMELY limited until you spend money. This game is fun and it is 100% " possible" to play without spending money. LOTRO is much more fun if you subscribe atleast once as it unlocks an enormous amount of things that would otherwise be a severe handicap

All things considered, I would only recommend getting this game if you are prepared to drop 15 dollars on it for a 1-month subscription to unlock everything.

An interisting concept?

I played for around 15 minutes and found it unbearably buggy with badly implemented controls. I guess the concept is ok but the execution is not and I've already given up on this game. Overall not a very good game, and will not be playing it anytime soon. Waste of $5

Fun game, very straight-forward....once you have done all the stories on all the the regular classes and the hidden classes, its really done, as thats all their is to the game

Its still a very fun game to play, 9/10

Fun game! Has a very severe learning curve. Once you get over that though its a very fun game, tons of customizations, and several different options. It is however quite grindy, you have to to quests several times to reap all of the benifits, so if you are a completionist....or just want the "Completionist" badge ingame, then you will be farming on this game for a VERY long tim.

The story is pretty great and will keep you playing the game until you run out of story missions. After that, it tends to become a either a grindfest, a money furnace, or both. I'd reccomend playing each faction all the way through (except for 23c, it's just Federation with ten additional missions tacked onto the front), each one has a distinct storyline that intertwines with the other factions. If you've run out of story on all factions, try playing on the "Redshirt" server. It is basically the game before they started gutting story arcs of most of their missions. The majority of the game is combat, with very few pure exploration bits. All-in-all, it used to be a great game, still is a good game, and has the potential to become great once more.
