I nominated Factorio for the 2020 Steam Award "Labor of Love", because the developers still work continously on their game since the initial release in 2016.
You can see that they love their work and their game by reading the weekly "Friday Factory Facts" in which they tell you everything about how they approach development of the game, what they are currently working on, what changes are being made and so much more... At the moment there are 438 of those lengthy essays!

Over the course of the last 8 years they provided the game with new updates, did a lot of quality-of-life improvements, performance optimization and expanded their mod support.
For the amount of fun it provided me, I'd say it was money well spent and developers like this should definitely be supported.

So, if you are into base building and automization this is a surefire way to get your needs satisfied!
Be careful though: Highly addictive.
