The base game is fun enough and free, but if you're thinking of buying upgrades I would just go enjoy one of the previous iterations that has all the DLC packaged in or at least heavily discounted instead. The prices EA charges for current Sims gen DLC are absolutely insane.

The easiest way to know if you will enjoy this game is to go watch one of the ENA animated shorts on Youtube. If you're into that avant garde, vibes-over-sense, contemplative style of storytelling, you'll enjoy this game (like I did!) If you don't... well, you won't.

I know that's vague, but seriously, you'll get a better idea of if this is your thing in the same amount of time by watching a short as opposed to reading a long, flowery review by some rando like me on Steam.

There's a lot of fun to be had here and I struggled between giving it a negative review or a positive one despite its flaws, but there's also a lot of glitches and bugs that make even the campaign mode frustrating to get through.

Do you want to be a badass and be friends with a badass robot? Of course you do, and the campaign delivers.

(I received this game as a gift.)

I agree with many other reviews saying it gets boring rather quickly. I think it would help if you earn the ability to do things like auto-sell/craft as the game progresses, but as it stands the menial tasks you start with are the ones you have to continue doing throughout the game.

It's worth checking out when it's on sale if you like a short burst of fun with lots of puns, but it's a bit difficult to recommend at full price.

Match 3 RPG with a satisfying gameplay loop. It doesn't so anything particularly extraordinary, but if you like that sort of thing, you'll probably like this too!

Sonic Generations offers some great reimaginings of levels from across previous Sonic games... and that's about it. The whole thing literally takes place in a white void and has about as much story as you'd expect in those circumstances. It feels like a fun collection of fanservice but not a full game.

To make matters worse, I made it to the last level in about 2 hours and then clipped out of the last stage several times in different spots, and it's a long level that gave me no choice but to restart each time. This went on for about an hour until I gave up.

Would be a fun little celebration of Sonic's history to get, while discounted, if they fixed the game-breaking bugs.

Legendary Edition is exactly what it sounds like - all 3 Mass Effect games and the DLC with some updated graphics for one low price. That said, not too much is changed beyond that. The game still has the same awkward shifts in cinematics, same glitches, and overall still feels like playing the original games. You're not even free from the horrors of Origin, because the game insists on connecting to Origin. Overall, it feels like they could have done more to update the games than they did. I'd also expect a port of a bunch of decade old games to run a bit more efficiently than it does, and there are a few glitches and loading delays that could use patching out.

So why do I recommend it? Because for me, personally, a bundle of all 3 games with some minor tweaks is all I wanted. You'll probably appreciate Legendary Edition if any of the following apply to you:

- This is your first time buying these games, or you own few enough of the games/DLC to make 60 dollars for the whole package a deal.

- You want to play on PC with a controller. The original PC ports did not support controllers without mods.

- You HATED the way shooting through a scope in Mass Effect 1 caused your view to drift.

- You HATED that stupid online waiting game to achieve the highest galactic readiness in Mass Effect 3.

- You're REALLY into graphical remasters, even if the changes are relatively small. It DOES look better, especially when it comes to the settings.

If none of these apply, it might not be worth double dipping to own these games again, because at the end of the day these are still basically the same games with a few tweaks. It would have been nice to see EA go the extra mile for a port of one of their most beloved franchises, but I got what was advertised, and all these years later the Mass Effect trilogy remains a fantastic set of games.

This game is beautifully crafted, and I went back and forth on whether to recommend it or not, but... as a survivor of depression, there's something deeply concerning about the way the story seems to imply that it's your fault if someone close to you kills themselves. I'm not sure if that's the intent, but it's very much there, and it's an extremely harmful way of thinking.

It is NOT your fault if someone close to you struggles with depression. You didn't "miss the signs" and you don't need to "forgive yourself." We all want to be there for the people we love, and of course you should do whatever you can to support someone depressed, but it is not your responsibility if you ignore your phone for a few hours and something bad happens.

Fun for a bit, but the pace quickly starts to lag to the "we obviously want you to pay to keep making progress" point and the writing is just.... really boring? All of the "phone flings" are just awkward innuendos and the dialog of the main guys just isn't that interesting either. I don't feel an emotional attachment to any of these dudes.

Yes, my grey asexuality is blatantly showing in this review, but I figure if I WAS just looking for random suggestive pictures of anime guys I have no emotional connection to, I could just do a Google search.
