I love the backstory as destiny approaches and sooner or later, this tests will help us chase our own demons, inside and outside of the game. Thank you for all of your hard work and I'm sure the game you are developing will have its flaws but same as the tests, it will be human, and that is what I love about whatever this is.

Already played Subnautica? This isn't like it, but it is, it's like magic.
First of all if you haven't played the first Subnautica I recommend playing it before this one because it has many references and spoilers.
This subnautica gives you the same chills from totally new different creatures and the same fulfilling feeling when making a new base, yet has many new things and a completely new plot and feeling.
Totally recommend it, visual style is still amazing and has incredible new features.

I was supposed to rescue my son until my friend joined, built a church and got a crossy to start a millenium adventure to find all the gun parts, ended up doing a giant base and forgot about my son.

Better with friends but incredibly cool and scary alone

Played some alone, pretty fun but a little boring if played long sessions.
Played with a friend and oh boy are we rocking.
We made everything and got almost every achievement just to end up doing a rocket league field and play with buggies and a ball.
Recommended 10/10 with friends, you can have an amazing time if you are creative enough.
If you don't have friends you can play but you will have in the end at tops 30h of worthy gameplay.

The best and worst experience I've ever had with a survival video game. Subnautica does right what many others in this genre do wrong which is to hook you by giving out a final goal. It's story can be incredibly fun to find out as you go scanning on things and it rewards you when taking high risks correctly. As you go on you can even find philosophical meaning to it and many nice easter eggs but don't worry, you can always come back for more.

As you go on exploring, especially at the beginning, the game directs you to where you have to be, but it does make you think (not much tho) about where to go or what to do next giving you freedom to go at your own pace. Late game you have to explore on your own and your only clue; go deeper.

When I say worst expercience I mean it because of the terror it gives, Subnautica achieves to frighten you more than many other horror games and takes you by surprise every time, there is always something new to discover and a way to go even deeper.

Almost 100 hours on this game on 4 months, it is totally worth it, especially if you hev friends to play with
