I never played any of the Witcher games, so I have been immune to much of the hype around this game. I had seen it at a few video game events a few years back, but not much else...

I've seen a lot of talk about how it sucks on last-gen consoles, and how it is full of bugs and cut content... but honestly, after 90 hours on a Dell XPS 15 laptop, I haven't had any game-breaking issues.

I've seen a few bodies rubberband or disapear, seen a few cars randomly explode, and experienced a few times where the game thought I fell 50 feet when I stepped off a small ledge... but most of the bugs have been laughable and added some comic relief to the game.

Overall it is a good game that is unpolished and needs some more work. This could easily be done in patches and hotfixes. Things such as only being able to craft 1 grenade at a time instead of typing 100 and pressing the button once. Things such as having trouble 'locking on' to items to pick up when they are half hidden. Things such as vending machines running out of soda and still charging me 10 eddies while im spamming the buy button so I can dismantle them to craft a pink frilly jacket to sell to the vendor.

There is a really fun game, with really great gameplay systems, but its in its awkward puberty phase, and has a few too many pimples...

Overall Rating: Addicted, but my girlfriend hasn't broken up with me yet
Graphics: Looks good on my mid-range laptop
Gameplay: Really fun, but my Netrunner is way OP even on hardest difficulty
Story: Pretty good, but I still haven't finished it.

Would I recommend?

I started my game wanting to play as a peaceful civilization, trying to respect my neighbors and the environment, and protect the city-states from invasion by barbarians and aggressive forces. I sent traders to neighboring civilizations and built magnificent wonders for my citizens to enjoy. I founded a religion based on peace and prosperity and refrained from interfering in the religious affairs of those around me.

I sent governors to my cities to improve the quality of life of their inhabitants and sent diplomats to civilizations large and small. I built a well-trained, yet conservatively-sized military to protect my borders and a strong navy to explore the seas and protect my merchants and fishermen.

I discovered scientific breakthroughs and expanded the culture of my civilization through peaceful alliances and exploration.

...Then in turn 50, that complete jackelope of a leader Trajan denounced me for having troops inside my own borders and settled a city on the iron I wanted... So I spent the next 300 turns doing everything in my power to demolish his civilization through soft power and proxy wars until I had enough uranium to nuke his final three cities to dust, raise all but his capital city, and completely embargo his civilization in what can only be compared to the Gaza Strip on steroids and use my spies to constantly recruit rebellious partisans inside the borders of his laughably weak goldfish-in-a-bowl of a civilization.

11/10 would find out exactly how petty I truly am again.

Payday 2 is a great game if you like insane amounts of chaos, and don't really care about the story... I've played about ~400 hours and still have no idea what the story is about other than blowing ♥♥♥♥ up and stealing things. But TBH who really needs anything more than that?

The guns are highly customizable, maps are fun and unique, and overall its a pretty fun time.

I played all the other borderlands in the series except telltales or whatever. This one has a ♥♥♥♥ story for the main quest line, but it still has decent sidequests and awesome DLCs.

The combat is fun and interesting and its an all around fun game to play.
