One of the greatest JRPG's ever written, and never once felt like I was playing a a game made with RPGMaker. I really wish this game got more exposure, because you deserve it.

Hey FoppyOmega, I posted a question on Forever Home. Please take a moment when you have a chance to and look at it.

Forever Home is one of the best RPG's i've played in years. Came hoping to see you working on another title, sad to see that it does not seem so. Anyway, thanks for a great game bud.

Hey Foppy! I featured Forever Home on a video on my new channel! https://youtu.be/2U8UwxLpZe4

I really hope you haven't given up on gaming development! You truly made something amazing with Forever Home. I already had some new fans in our Discord pick up your game!

Thanks, Kan! To The Moon has one of the best storylines I've ever seen in a video game. I've played through it three times and am absolutely starstruck to be seeing your message :D
I shot you an email a few years back after playing it to sing my praise.

If there's ever anything you need at all, like an early tester or harsh criticism on a script draft, don't hesitate to ask. Oh, and congratz on the Switch release!

Hey David, Kan from Freebird Games here -- just wanted to say I've been playing some of Forever Home, and I was really impressed with what you've done with it. You pulled some really clever methods of storytelling despite the relatively limited resources & tools, and it's very clear that you got great directorial talent.

Anyhow, just wanted to drop by and say that. Cheers, & happy new year!

Hey David. Thank you so much for responding!
Yes I can work with Ableton a little bit. Does it have an option to export percussion in midi? If so, that would be wonderful.
I would love to learn the percussion done in 'Unwelcome'. Let's see just how much I can work with the ableton file. Where would you send it to me?
FoppyOmega 29 Aug, 2019 @ 7:05am
Thanks for the kind words, both of you!
Celestial, I sent you a friend request. I can send you some of the Ableton Live 9.0 files if you're able to work with those, or maybe I could export them in another format somehow. My background was in percussion so generally I'd start with the drum tracks and build up from there.

Hello David. I must start off by thanking you for making this wonderful game. Apart from this game's spectacularly emotional story-line, I can't help but be awe-inspired by its soundtrack--the first town's music compelled me to buy its soundtrack, which I rarely do with steam games.

Being an avid musician myself (hobbyist), I love to study chord progressions and rhythm of the tracks that I find pleasing. This helps me take inspiration to write my own music. I usually pick chords and melodies by ear but I kinda struggle with the drums and rhythm part.
My favorite track of this game is actually 'unwelcome' and I love the jazzy 6/8 time signature in it. But I am struggling to recreate that rhythm on my synthesizer. I would be really grateful if you could somehow give me the rhythm of this song in midi to help me study and play it in my solitude.
Thanks David.

Actually it looks like you can't edit profile comments for spoiler tags. I deleted it to be safe. Thanks for your kind words though! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask ^_^
rastley 22 Oct, 2018 @ 3:20pm
Craaaaaaap....Sorry about that..how does one add the tag?
FoppyOmega 21 Oct, 2018 @ 6:05pm
There's not, but if you keep playing then later on you'll get another character with the same skillset and her PP gets transferred so you don't lose your progress on her. Also would you mind putting a spoiler tag around your post? Don't want to ruin it for anybody :)
FoppyOmega 13 Sep, 2018 @ 6:59am
Thanks! That means a lot ^_^

LOL I spent a couple hours on Sunday writing Steam thinking I had an issue with it. Thanks for getting back to me about it - again you did a great job on this game in all aspects, even the music! 10/10 and i gifted a copy to a friend. I should buy the soundtrack..
FoppyOmega 10 Sep, 2018 @ 6:02pm
Hey Avender, the Steam overlay doesn't work with the engine I wrote my game in. There's a work-around though which we talk about in this discussion here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/718200/discussions/0/1485487749766334327/

Basically you just have to use this program here to do it:

Its an awesome game! Love it. Missed the elements of FF from so long ago. I do have a question though. I'm not super savy on the differences between games and how they're set up. i can't get steam overlay up with the game, nor can i take a screenshot with f12. i can however with other games. When launching FH from the steam client, the message never pops up about "use shift tab for overlay" etc. Your thoughts?
FoppyOmega 20 Jun, 2018 @ 6:55am
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)
