I really hope you haven't given up on gaming development! You truly made something amazing with Forever Home. I already had some new fans in our Discord pick up your game!
I shot you an email a few years back after playing it to sing my praise.
If there's ever anything you need at all, like an early tester or harsh criticism on a script draft, don't hesitate to ask. Oh, and congratz on the Switch release!
Anyhow, just wanted to drop by and say that. Cheers, & happy new year!
Yes I can work with Ableton a little bit. Does it have an option to export percussion in midi? If so, that would be wonderful.
I would love to learn the percussion done in 'Unwelcome'. Let's see just how much I can work with the ableton file. Where would you send it to me?
Celestial, I sent you a friend request. I can send you some of the Ableton Live 9.0 files if you're able to work with those, or maybe I could export them in another format somehow. My background was in percussion so generally I'd start with the drum tracks and build up from there.
Being an avid musician myself (hobbyist), I love to study chord progressions and rhythm of the tracks that I find pleasing. This helps me take inspiration to write my own music. I usually pick chords and melodies by ear but I kinda struggle with the drums and rhythm part.
My favorite track of this game is actually 'unwelcome' and I love the jazzy 6/8 time signature in it. But I am struggling to recreate that rhythm on my synthesizer. I would be really grateful if you could somehow give me the rhythm of this song in midi to help me study and play it in my solitude.
Thanks David.
