Listened to a guy complain in text chat for the whole match about how either side he played on was suffering from imbalance due to the map, we beat his team every round on both sides, after he got mad enough at the game he down voted everyone (using the in game karma system) in the lobby and left, we all laughed about it and proceeded to have a good time for 3 hours giggling like children on comms and had an all around great time, 10/10 Best 10 bucks I ever spent. (steam summer sale 2021)

Good Milsim, lots of mod support, tons of great communities from casual to very serious. Worth every hour and penny spent on it.

Ark is one of the better survival games out there, though it is poorly optimized.

The new maps they released are pretty sweet too.

The unfortunate part of this game is that it was developed by what I can only describe as a group of amateurs with a good idea. Count your lucky stars it's playable.

Mod support via steam workshop is where the game finds its prime, really about half of this games awesome stuff comes from mods, that is until the company buys the mods and butchers them to half bake them into the vanilla game and even then they can't release an update on time, like seriously, you got joe schmoe in his room pretty much building your game in the form of a mod and you still ain't releasing updates on time, I think y'all faking it to convince people you're actually hard at work.

Don't ever pay full price for it though, get it on sale, previous money troubles with the companies past lawsuits have them milking their customers with malicious intent.

Drink Pee Pee, and Eat Poo Poo Wildcard, I recommended your game, but that's only because the community compensated for the stuff you couldn't.

10/10, would buy Ark on the next steam sale again and get the money back betting on which popular mod they were gonna hijack next.

I bought this game a while back and refunded it mainly because the multiplayer online didn't function the way I had hoped and to play with the people I wanted, I couldn't do it over the internet. Fast forward to the present and I decided to give it another try seeing as it now supported Remote Play. It was a little confusing at first because this game split the screens up between my dual monitors, player one on my main monitor, and player 2 on my second monitor. However by allowing my remote partner to join as player one, they were able to see their screen and I simply played on my second screen. This is because steam streams your primary display. The remote play worked very well, and my brother and I spent my 3 hours game time playing together. The game itself even when I previously owned it was good, but at the time I wasn't interested in playing alone or with strangers. I'd definitely recommend this game now due to the new opportunities via the remote system, though if your network doesn't stream well it may not be as great.

Didn't think it would be as fun as it is, but once you get into the rhythm of things, this game is great and I feel kinda awesome when I actually get all the notes. I don't exactly like how the DLC is setup, that's expensive music, and the game doesn't have a lot of music on its own, mods made this game, so if you can mod it, you should do that,

I feel like the game functions so much better when playing solo even if it's still not at 100%. The big enemies do virtually nothing except eat your bullets until they die. Other enemies clip through walls and get stuck in houses and such. I can look past copy/paste houses though I admit it's a little annoying. Looking further into things, most missions are buggy messes and don't register properly more often than not. Mission tracking works partially and not often enough to be comfortable, and hit registration is so unreliable using anything at range such as the hunting rifles is pretty much useless. There is a ton of work to be done on the game and if it doesn't get done soon, Avalanche is gonna lose the support of their audience. In its current state the game hardly passes as an Early Access title. It's surprising to find that they had a beta for this. I had a lot of faith in the game too, I was hoping it'd be much more than it is, and I've found more disappointment than I had planned for. This review will change as the game does, and I'll be hanging close to it as to provide my moral support and continue to try and play it solo, I do hope that Avalanche gets the game together, but for now it feels unfinished, and unworthy of your money.

Early Access Review
I was never a fan of Melee VR combat because my walls cry when I do it, but this game...THIS GAME! I cant get enough. Here's a list that explains why you should buy.

1. Slow motion jumping and kicking people in the face.

2. Jumping and stabbing people in the face or chest on your way down.

3. You can pretend to be Captain America and hurl a buckler at a man, or woman (Game supports equality) and send them toppling and just like the perfect Evil Cap you are climb o top of them and beat their face in with your reclaimed shield while screaming "Avengers, assemble!"

4. You can grab people by the throat and drive a blade of your choosing through their pitiful skull, and if you're feeling extra deranged, watch the light in their eyes go out like some kind of savage warlord.

5. It's Early Access, and it's fun, and active and entertaining. Even with the small bit of content available there will be more, and the dev is working on full mod support. (Currently has mods available on nexus) and as development progresses it will only get loads better, good use of twenty bucks.

6. I also found out you can knock people out with the mace and when they walk over, stab it In their crotch, when they stand up they have a big ol wooden wee wee and that makes me giggle like an immature child.

7. You can grab an enemy by the back of their head and smash their faces into walls until they die, what other game let's you do that? Idk if there are any but this one does and its awesome.

8. Force lightning, you're not only a sword fighting killing machine but you're also a freaking Sith Lord. You also get telekinesis

7. I mentioned this earlier but you can trigger slow motion on and off any time (it does stop after a short while and has to take a few seconds to recharge.) But the slowmo makes people fly across the map if you kick, punch or throw your shield at them. (Again, pretend to be captain America, its empowering.) Idk if the slowmo launching is by design or not but it should never be removed cause it's so amazing.

I won't tell you how to spend your money but if you spend it on this game, you will not be disappointed.
