Assetto Corsa vs. Competizione: 100+ Hours in Both

Assetto Corsa – The Modder’s Dream
Pros:
Endless mods – F1 cars, touge maps, flying Deloreans.
✔ Still feels great to drive (better than Forza/GT7 IMO).
Content Manager + Custom Shaders Patch = free graphics upgrades.

Cons:
✖ Base game feels empty without mods/DLC unless you love fiat500.
✖ Multiplayer is a mess without community servers.

Assetto Corsa Competizione – GT3 Perfection
Pros:
✔ Best GT3 physics ever (tire wear, rain, aero—all nailed).
LFM[lowfuelmotorsport.com] makes multiplayer actually competitive.
✔ Laser-scanned tracks feel alive.

Cons:
✖ DLCs are optional mandatory (looking at you, Nürburgring pack).
✖ No variety—just GT3/GT4 (but it does them better than iRacing).

Vs. Other Sims
Forza/GT7 = Fun, but arcadey. No weight transfer drama.
iRacing = Better multiplayer, worse physics (and $$$$).
rFactor 2 = Great FFB, dead multiplayer.

Verdict
AC if you want freedom.
ACC if you want competition.
• Both > paying $12/month for iRacing’s netcode.

TL;DR Kunos nailed sim racing—twice. AC for mods, ACC for GT3 glory.

overall performance, gameplay and feeling is much better.
however, the landing page having a gta+ ad on launch sometimes is a bit much imo.
keep it on the main menu but dont force me to close it in order to get into the game.
invasive ads within games are just not acceptable regardless.

Operation Harsh Doorstop: Free, Chaotic, YES
My 130+ Hours of Pure, Unfiltered War

10–30 Hours In: Fell in love with mods, janky physics, and the best gun audio in any tactical shooter. Even 10-player lobbies feel intense—headphones mandatory.

30–80 Hours In: Realized this is the only FPS where modders and devs actually listen.
Small community? Yes. Dedicated? Hell yes. Pro tip: USE YOUR MIC. Become the gigachad squad leader this game deserves.

Why OHD Deserves Your Attention
✔ 100% FREE—no ads, no battle passes, just war.
✔ Modding = Unlimited Content: Zombie hordes, Vietnam War recreations, even Star Wars total conversions. Workshop support lets you auto-download mods when joining servers.
✔ Sound Design That Ruins Other Games: Bullets crack, helicopters rattle your skull, and distant fights adds to the whole thing.

What It Needs IMO

Persistent Warfare Mode: A months-long campaign where clans fight over territories. Server resets every few hours, but overall progress saves (like Heroes & Generals, but without the pay-to-win). This could become the new home for H&G refugees.

More Heavy Weapons: Deployable AA guns, belt-fed turrets, and sim wheel support for trucks/helis (let me feel the mud under my tires).

achievement based progression / reward system: Let players earn persistent "veteran" loadouts (e.g., a sniper with custom camo after 50 kills) to reward long-term play.

The Player Count
Peak players that i have noticed myself in public servers hover around 100–200, This isn’t a matchmaking game—it’s a community-driven sandbox. Servers fill fast during prime hours, and the regulars are welcoming to newbies.

Final Verdict

Play OHD if you:

Crave unscripted, large-scale battles without corporate greed.

Miss Heroes & Generals.

Want a game that involves its players (not your bank)

Skip if:

You need ranked modes or hand-holding.

cant handle doing nothing for more than 5 minutes while you track your enemy across the forest

This isn’t just a game—it’s a choice to game. just click play

TL;DR Free, moddable, and the most underrated tactical shooter alive. Needs more players, but the ones here? Absolute legends. <3

game can be fun but fair warning i only played like an hour so far and itt wasnt as fun as i thought it was going to be.
1. gameplay - basic fps ♥♥♥♥ expect to be spawnkilled in SnD, deathmatch is some hyper fast style of parkour and use weird af movement to avoid being shot
2. server stuff ig the TTK is pretty sick, hit reg n ♥♥♥♥ is nice af, sniping is probably the best i tried in years aside from csgo
3. first impressions - felt like i was surrounded by crack addicts tryna get first place so they can get a fix. menu pop ups basically asking me to uninstall as they are invasive af appearing once you "interact" [this is just observation idk if true]
4. aftera few games impressios, feels like cod, plays like csgo, moves like assassin creed, in game unlockables for weapons basically made it a grind fest imo, i dont feel like dumping a hundred hours into the game to enjoy what it has to offer, im a casual and i enjoy just playign for fun. i really think if they take the cod black ops 1 system of buying via money you earn in game, i reckon that will make it more approachable rather than grinding for XP of whihc often times is rigged to intice longer play sessions, tho i dont wanna play to find out if this is teh case, thanks gaming industry btw.

final thoughts, im just a casual, i like the game but i dont see myself playing it for long or unless a friend begs me to hop on.
find it hard to play most games in recent times, only things that keep me engaged is physically seeing my progress and improvments, minecraft is a good example of this, played it for so long its basically a second home.
everything i do in the game is a reflection of myself. though this is less than stella comparison considering this is a fast paced FPS with a competative egde, and minecraft is a block game for "kids"

anyway enjoy game enjoy friendships it makes can be fun if you like this sorta ♥♥♥♥, imma stick to the basics lol
