Probably the most exciting game in the Civ franchise without a doubt. But:

1. DLCs are upwards of $30 each.
2. Deity difficulty AIs get 4-5 Great Persons between a turn without you being unable to touch one of them. Because the cost of GP is not sequentially increasing and if you can't unlock the one that is for offer at the time - an AI buys it between turns and the other AIs might get the following ones for free because they cost less points to patronize and they (and you) had enough points to start with (but just not for the one that was on offer). This makes targeting specific ones problematic and dicey. It's beyond me how they haven't fixed this "bug?" while they offer expensive DLCs all along.

Why is a 20-year old game lagging on a modern laptop (single player)!? Why have you done away with the resolution settings in options menu? I grew up playing this. Fix the game engine instead of adding new civs. Let's not even talk about game balance.

The game itself is amazing as always. The real fun is in the multiplayer scene. The only problem is there are no servers. Its p2p. So we get laggy if playing from far apart. And its only fun when its a full 4v4

Definitely a buy. Especially enjoyful are the Theater of War missions. Operation Barbarossa German missions are grinding as hell, but that's what makes it enjoyful
