Squad is a standout title in the tactical shooter genre, delivering an immersive and deeply rewarding experience that prioritizes teamwork and strategic play over lone wolf heroics. The game’s sharp tactical gameplay shines through in its massive battles, where coordination, communication, and leadership are the keys to victory. Whether you're setting up defenses, coordinating vehicle support, or leading a charge, every role feels impactful and meaningful. The visuals are equally impressive, with strikingly realistic environments that enhance the immersion, from dense forests and urban battlefields to sprawling deserts.

What sets Squad apart is not just its gameplay but also its commitment to the community. After an ill-received premium store idea was abandoned, the developers doubled down on what the players value most—regular updates, meaningful bug fixes, and robust support for the active modding scene. This approach has helped cultivate a dedicated player base and fostered the creation of countless mods that expand the game's content and replayability. Squad is not just a game; it's a growing platform for tactical warfare enthusiasts, constantly refined and enriched by both the developers and its passionate community.

Clans is a solid addition to the series, delivering stunning graphics and staying true to BattleTech lore. The attention to detail in the design of 'Mechs, environments, and Clan culture is impressive. The story is engaging, offering a fresh perspective on the Clans and their complex society, with each mission feeling significant in the larger narrative of Operation Revival. The game does a fantastic job of capturing the intensity of 'Mech combat while staying faithful to the source material.

However, there are a few minor issues. The voice acting can be inconsistent, with some characters lacking impact, and the 3D pilot portraits used in mission dialogue often look strange. Performance-wise, the game occasionally stutters, requiring some tweaking to resolve.

Early Access Review
I’ve been a staunch supporter of the Kerbal Space Program series, finding endless joy and challenge in the original game. When Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced, my excitement was palpable, filled with anticipation for another deep dive into space exploration with enhanced features and mechanics. However, the recent closure of Intercept Games by Take-Two Interactive has drastically altered my view and expectations for the game’s future.

Having purchased KSP 2 in Early Access, I was initially patient with the slow pace of development, trusting that the end product would justify the wait. However, the sudden shutdown of the development team has not only stalled progress but has also left a void where there was once vibrant, community-driven development. This abrupt end feels like a betrayal, considering the commitment and financial investment of the game’s community.

The most disheartening part is realizing that the game might never be completed. The recent reviews on Steam, now overwhelmingly negative, reflect a community in mourning for what could have been a groundbreaking sequel. Without the original development team, the game risks remaining in an unfinished state, potentially relying on modders to salvage what’s left.

This turn of events has significantly dampened my enthusiasm. Investing in a game is a leap of faith in the developers and their vision. With the core team disbanded, my confidence in the continuation and completion of Kerbal Space Program 2 is shattered. I cannot recommend purchasing this game under these circumstances. It’s a stark reminder of how quickly promising projects can falter when corporate decisions do not align with community and developer interests.

Per Sony's Twitter:
"Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward.

We’re still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you updated on future plans."

So long as they don't attempt to force PSN accounts on PC players, I'm changing this back to a positive review, barring any more greedy corporate shenanigans.

Original Review:
As an avid gamer, the recent changes surrounding Helldivers 2 have left a bitter taste in my mouth. When I initially purchased this game, I was thrilled by its engaging cooperative gameplay and challenging mechanics. However, Sony's recent decision to mandate linking a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to continue playing the game I had bought months ago feels like a betrayal.

This abrupt policy shift isn't just inconvenient; it's fundamentally unfair. Players who have invested time and money into a game should not be subjected to changed terms of usage that weren't part of the original agreement. This feels particularly unjust considering there is no option for a refund after the standard two-hour play window, yet the terms of my game usage can be altered without consent.

Moreover, this change has been introduced amidst already struggling reviews, where players express frustration over stability and performance issues. Instead of addressing these critical concerns that affect the core gameplay experience, the focus has been shifted to enforcing account restrictions that complicate access.

In conclusion, Sony's decision feels like a stark reminder that consumer rights and game accessibility often take a back seat to corporate controls. Decisions are made top-down without considering the customer. This isn't the gaming experience we signed up for, and it certainly isn't one we should accept.

"The right to discuss is a privilege—it is not an entitlement you earn by playing the game" - CA's PR department

Incredibly bad PR from a dying company that was catching flak for milking their golden goose and the whales that play it.

Baldur's Gate 3 is not just a game; it's a nostalgia-fueled love letter to my gaming journey. I grew up with the iconic Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and they weren't just games; they were the catalyst for my passion for gaming and my first delightful foray into the enchanting world of tabletop RPGs. Those adventures shaped my imagination, and I've been eagerly awaiting a sequel that can capture the magic once again.

Baldur's Gate 3 has done more than just live up to the legacy; it has exceeded my wildest expectations, earning a resounding 10/10 in my book. From the moment I started my new adventure in the Forgotten Realms, I was transported back to the wonder and excitement of my earlier days. The level of detail in every aspect of the game is astounding, from the lush landscapes to the intricate character development. It's clear that the team poured their hearts into this project, and it shows in every pixel.

Sure, there might be a few minor bugs and glitches here and there, but they are nothing compared to the grand tapestry that is Baldur's Gate 3. The storytelling is masterful, drawing me in with its gripping narrative and characters so vivid and memorable that they feel like old friends. The combat system is both familiar and refreshing, a perfect blend of classic RPG mechanics and modern sensibilities, making every battle a thrilling and strategic experience.

What truly warms my heart is the respect and love the developers have for the original material. It's like they plucked the essence of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and wove it seamlessly into this new installment. The attention to detail, the deep lore, the nods to the past - it's all there, creating a sense of continuity and belonging that makes me feel like a kid again, exploring the Sword Coast with wide-eyed wonder.

Baldur's Gate 3 is not just a game; it's a transformative experience that rekindles the flames of my gaming passion. It's a testament to the power of nostalgia, an affirmation of the magic that brought me into this incredible world in the first place. I'm not just playing a game; I'm reliving a cherished part of my life, and for that, I am eternally grateful to the talented team behind this masterpiece. Baldur's Gate 3 is, without a doubt, a worthy sequel, and my heart brims with joy knowing that this epic journey will continue.

I have been a lifelong fan of Paradox games for as long as I have beenplaying video games. Paradox has struggled with some titles such as Imperator, but with Crusader Kings 3 they've hit it out of the park. Just about every mechanic I enjoyed from Crusader Kings 2 has been reworked or fleshed out, or reimagined and to me they've come out wonderfully.

I'm 200 hours in at this point and I'm still working on mastering some of the mechanics, exploring different aspects of the game, and ironing down my long term strategies.

Though the game isn't without its share of bugs and unintended features, the developers have been working dilligently to correct them, introduce features missing that were present in Ck2, and correct what mistakes they've made.

If you enjoy Grand Strategy games, and especially if you enjoyed Crusader Kings 2 (I think I have something like 2000 hours in that game), then you will certainly enjoy the latest iteration.

I bought four copies of this game during a recent steam sale for $20 total so I could play what looked to be an atmospheric underwater horror/survival game with my friends.

I was a little wrong about the category, it plays more like a horror-tinged counterstrike, underwater and against sharks, than it plays like a DayZ or similar game.

That being said, I was incredibly surprised with the amount of fun I've had in this game. Rounds are relatively quick, and good teammates can make or break a victory. There's no single best weapon or strategy, and I've had a great time learning the ins and outs of the meta.

Their lootboxes are skins and other cosmetic items, and aren't required to unlock any of the gear/sharks that start locked.
