People say it's the "2D Minecraft", although it is far from it. Terraria gained its fame from Minecraft, that much is true, but Terraria is a fun sandbox adventure. There are many neat little items, such as the Gravity Potion that send you flying upwards. There is also the ability to customize the little sprite you play, which is a nice little option.

Highly recommended. It's a great game.

Edit a decade+ later: Still come back to play all the time. Love it.
