I absolutely adore Arrowfell as both a hardcore RWBY fan and a fan of puzzle platformers, it's mechanics are unique but familiar to anyone who's played one before, and the story itself is very fitting (and canon!) in the RWBY universe.

Arrowfell, initially, can feel a bit rough (especially if you hoard skill points at the start for the achievement like me) but once you get past the first small set-up bits, it just never stops being fun! One of my favorite mechanics are the semblances, not only the abilities themselves (which are great) but the way they get upgraded in the story, allowing you to revisit old locations and access new areas, keeping every part of the map interesting throughout the whole game. If you're saying "oh but how will I remember where to go back to, that seems a hassle, I don't want to look at guides!" have no worries, my favorite QOL thing Arrowfell does is how it retroactively adds exclamation marks to the map selection menu where something in that specific map is now accessible due to a newly acquired ability, it not only makes remembering where to go back to easy, but it keeps the gameplay flowing without requiring you to search multiple worlds or look up where to go.

While I have played Arrowfell before (not on steam), I always love coming back to it just to run through again every so often, it's a great game with a great story, great characters, great art, great cutscenes, and it's based on a great show, everything about it is great!!!
