Patch #3 Early Access Update Review:
The Game is Amazing

If you don't think so in any aspect, just chat with them on Discord and make an change or improvement happening.

We had balance, prop classification and huge match making issues which also got handled very fast by the Devs and they even had time to celebrate Eastern with us in MGH, so you can imagine what I'm talking about.

The Game will need at some point Dedicated Servers, but it's nothing we should worry about now, because that's also something the Devs wishs themself for the Game, so just give it a chance and help to make it great :)

Pros:
- No Microtransactions. Once you paid for it, you get Access immidiatly to 10 Characters, Lootboxes can only bought with ingame currency and you also can't buy this currency.
- Free updates came frequently with new Maps and some new interessting mechanics
- If you got from the matchmaking the faction where you queued for on a Server in your Region and every other one is from the same Region: The Game is absolutly fun

Where we are also aready on the
Cons:
- It will never happen. The Game sends you on the other Side of the World with the wrong Role, frequently. And if you don't play a turnbased multiplayer game, you can not enjoy a game with a ping of 300.
- You also can't see what server you are connected at, before the game starts, because there is no indicator for what your actually ping is.
- You also can't leave the Lobby, you are forced to close the Game, so if you queued as Survivor and the Game gives you a Lobby as Killer against 4 korean names.. then the game wants nothing else from you, then wasting your time.
You will not have fun and maybe it has an slightly impact on your mentality.
- No Progress Content:
See where it's very good the Game has no Microtransactions, it's a very bad thing, that you have basicly nothing to unlock than ugly skins, which you also can't just unlock, you have to gamble for it. Other than that, your progress is basicly meaningless, you don't need to unlock Chracters, you don't need to unlock abilitys, it's kind of meaningless to play again after a round.
And if you really really need the Skins unlocked, you should find somewhere an profile file in the free wild of the internet to unlock them imidiatly, because your progress is only saved LOCALY, which also means: New PC? Bye Bye Progress, if you didn't knew that.

I would really wish that they would address the matchmaking, because it is basicly fault, that I don't play this game too often. The Game itself is great, sadly the matchmaking system is a big part of the game and since it's meanless to play again, i just don't.
The Matchmaking have also the "Problem" that Games where someone just bites in the sour apple and plays Killer even he didn't queued for, but they just farm you with his friends to death. It's all because this System doesn't cares anything, which obviously doesn't works.

The game itself is not bad, it's just the people behind it that are.
When game breaking bugs occur you can be sure that you have been heard and will get promptly .... brand new skins.
Oh ye and the microtransaction prices in the game are exorbitant, btw.
You can then complain about it too. The most inconsequential variant would be to write it on a piece of paper and throw it in the trash can.
The alternate would be get a ban on their official Discord Server.
So they have also driven away every streamer with a little more range and with them is also almost the half of the Player Base dropped.
Today all these really Gamebreaking things are fixed, which is good for the game, but alone the communication until then, has killed the game, which is sad because the Game itself isn't bad at all.
But you can still join to small amount of People which are left there, which are all in a Level Range of 100 - 2000.
Did I mentioned already that the Ingame Purchases are hillarous expensive?
The Game is not Pay 2 Win, beside some Survivors, which are Cheap in compare to the rest, there is nothing you can buy to get an huge advantage. All cosmetic, which is fine, but.. man.. really really expensive

This Game had some big potentional and you propably won't expect a Triple A Title from an Early Access Game.
The Games can give you fun chases or big frustrations on both sides.
The small riddles as prisoner makes it, that the Objective is not boring at all.
In Midchase you have the opportunity to jump in a locker and gamble with your life.
You have a 50% chance to escape, just by clicking the correct mouse button and it feels very good if you escape 3 times in a row by it.
Sadly, there were some missconception on the Publishers Side.

I will tell you the biggest 2 IMO:
- The Lobby System:
The Bugs were on the wrong place.
See, nobody will cry because he had to end the game before he gets sick, because there is a spectator bug which glitch out your screen.
But if you can't login because the Game just crashs silently and if you can, you can't find a not bugged lobby, which stops you to even finding matches for an Multiplayer Game, is not an option.
The Game never crashed for me, while I'm ingame, it seems pretty solid, but the rest, isn't.
And don't get me wrong, i don't think, it's easy, but the Lobby System must have a higher priority than the Core Game, because that is the core of a Multiplayer Game.

Which brings us to my 2. Issue in conception:
- It's Monstrum 2
So, you never played Monstrum 1? Me neither, but here is the Point:
It's a completly different Game!
This reminded me so much to Command & Conquer: Renegade
If you create a complete different Game, in a Complete differnt Genre, don't give it the Game from the Game i loved to play, only because I know some Locations and Names.
Call your first Game: Warcraft, make the successors the same Genre and call the next completly different Game where I know some Names and Locations, World of Warcraft.. that's the way.
But Monstrum 2 is not only a complete different Game to Monstrum 1, it's also "a successor"...
If you wanted to make sure from beginning, the Monstrum 1 Community will hate you for it.. well done.
If you had replaced the 2 with just MP, you were be fine.
