This game set is FULL of nostalgia. A basic platformer highly reminicent of the 90s, it was made by ID software. Yes, THAT id software. Anyway, this series is great.

So, X-COM. Chances are most people have never heard of this AMAZING series before the remake was announced. Hopefully the press about the new one will bring some people back to the old. This game, as old as it is, is INCREDIBLY deep and detailed, the strategy is mindbending in its complexity. I highly recommend this series for anyone interested in strategy and turn based combat games, though it's much more than either of those two genres.
