Honestly one of the better indie titles you can get for cheap on Steam. A solid premise of transporting unstable nitroglycerine through ramshackle roads in decrepit lorries makes for a very fun and often frustrating game.

It's best played on a controller for finer control and comfort when trying to avoid an explosive demise.

The only thing I can think the game could benefit from is having a Steam Workshop. Think of all the possible levels and vehicle you could design/download!

Buy this game! and watch the films it's based on too!

Honestly one of the best games I've played in recent memory. I can't wait to see what else the Developers have in store for Cultic.

If you want to get this game I'd suggest buying other Source Engine games with it e.g Half life 2: episodes 1 and 2 plus Counter Strike Source. So you can enjoy the Steam Workshop without sketchy walkthroughs telling you how to install malware :)

I bought it -80% off thinking I would uninstall it after 6 minutes of playtime, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gameplay.

THE GOOD

>Loads of content in the form of free DLC granting you new vehicles and maps

>Diverse vehicles from 8x8s to RWD and FWD - although, you'll only ever need the C-255 and jeep

>The Steam Workshop has plenty of new mods to try, certified or otherwise once you get burnt out on the Vanilla Experience

THE BAD

>Unlike the original Spintires you cannot change the wheels on your trucks without going through and editing the game's files

>The colour pallet is rather drab/dull, unlike the previous Spintires - this can be fixed by modding of course ;)

>Depending on where you live, multiplayer can be very hit or miss temperamental - unless you can create a lobby for any friends that also play the game.

THE CONCLUSION?

After spending 32 hours on the game, I'd recommend it to any sim lovers anyone patient enough to drive offroad in Soviet rigs.
