Did you know that Half Life 2 beta has some scariest audio file? you can search it and see it on the YouTube, most of them sounds was seem to be planning to use in the beta Citadel level.

Those audio files are just tells me that Half-Life 2 was used to be gritty dan dark. (which is kid work for the Combine in the beginning...)
