This was a great engine, however it got involved with american politics. the community manager blocks people from new releases on github and on twitter and the founder made a statement mocking conservative people.

With all of that said, i'm moving over to Redot, its fork

Alright, time to do an actual review of the game. I have 200 hours and as I'm writing this Tower Raid beta opened.

This game is great to play with a surprising variety of parkour moves and ways you play the game, not mentioning great easter eggs that are in this world of zombies and renegades. Parkour moves feel solid and are an improvement over the first game (even though I don't recommend comparing the games to each other).

Dying Light 2 is trying to be a live service experience, which sometimes improves our experience and sometimes makes us spend a very long time grinding for weapons, cosmetics or charms that in my opinion aren't worth it. While this adds to replayability, it makes the experience worse for those who want to roam with more than a gun on a stick as a weapon while not having time to go back every week grinding monotone challenges.

The story is okay, but like in case of the first game, you don't play dying light for the story, unless you want to be disappointed. The game also tries this whole make your own decision system, but it rarely affects the game, and when it does, it's not really noticeable. the sidequests are great, especially the ones added with the firearms update.
Monetization is a slippery slope, sometimes it's okay, but techland every noun and then releases some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bundle. If we let these slide, the game will get more and more pay-to-win.

While I have pointed out the things I don't like, the game is pretty fun. I love the combat, I love parkour, I love how the map looks, and I love the game, but there's one thing that truly makes the purchase worth it: the grappling hook, AKA a tool that changes the game into Spider-Man.

7/10 (8 if I'll like the dlc 2)
