Utterly vapid experience. If you want to waste time, sure go for it. But if you're looking for an engrossing and immersive sim, stick to Vic 2. The war system is utter garbage. Not entirely sure how they managed to completely ruin war when multiple other paradox titles have perfectly acceptable systems in place for it. Especially in a time period where so many world-changing wars took place. It should've been a clear point of focus for them.

Actually, picking ANYTHING to focus on would've been time better spent. Almost no nation in this game has ANY flavor to differentiate them from any other. Its almost like the game devs spent a year sitting down picking which color each country should be on a map, and then said "Right! Whole map is colored in! Time to release it!"

And one intern is in the back going "But what about the rest of the game?" And he was promptly fired.

Give this game 3-5 years, and about 200+ dollars worth of DLC, and it MIGHT be a worthwhile although extremely overpriced experience.

So, y'know, typical paradox release.

Gaijin's aggressive monetization policies have only gotten worse and worse as time goes on. They're working hard to milk every dime from people they can in every way they can.

And not by offering a good experience. They're making the game as annoying as possible and unplayable as possible unless you give them money.

Despite all the hate, I've enjoyed this game.

Its a very nice mix between tense moments of survival on planets that seem hellbent on killing you, and relaxing voyages of exploration and resource gathering.

Its got some drawbacks, like the inventory size/resource management, but overall the game is worth the money.

>Flying around looking for someone to kill.
>Find miner who eludes us, convince him we're hunting NPCs to become good guys again
>Miner alerts us to valuable NPC in XYZ asteroid belt. No one is this dumb.
>Cloak up, warp to belt, someone is this dumb.
>Kill miner without hesitation.
>His only words? "I trusted you".

I absolutely love Eve.

Absolutely ruined a good game with horrible balancing and terrible buy2win microtransactions.
