Alright, this is the first time I write a review for a game, but I think I really need to put my thoughts out there.

I had an absolute blast playing this game! I played it from start to finish, at first I was playing the trial version but when I got to the end of the free content I just had to buy it and keep playing! By the way, I found the fact that you can actually buy the full version while still playing ther demo and that there is clever dialogue around it very creative.

What is there to say, the core mecanic is very simple and immediately understood, yet the developpers crafted ever more interesting puzzles. Sometimes I got stuck but finding the solution was always satisfying and never did I feel like the game was unfairly unclear or hard, it always felt like I got stuck because I wasen't thinking about the puzzle the right way and when I found the solution it felt like my accomplishment.

Visually, he game is also beautiful! It has a unique visual style that I think mends itself quite well to the atmosphere and more importantly to the fact that light is at the heart of the game. Talking about light, I love the way that the game uses light, it really builds the oppresive atmosphere of the game, but also contributes a lot to making it amazing looking.
And the soundtrack and sound deseignare also incredible. I sometimes found myself stopping for a few seconds to just look and listen for a while.

Finaly, the game wears its inspiration from the Portal games on its sleeve, especially Portal 2 with Virgil and Ellen being somewhat parallels to Cave Johnson and Dough Ratman, yet despite this clear inspiration the game never felt like a "discount Portal 2" but instead trully has it's own Identity. I really appreciated how the devellopers inserted the game in the same uiverse as those games: far from feeling like a funny reference that was being pushed to far, I think it had its place in the narrative and that is added something to it. (And I'm a huge fan of the Portal games so that helps :p ).

So TL;DR: Loved it! It had me from start to finish, and I would totally recommend it to anyone.

That said, I did notice that in complex scenes, mainly some with complex lighting or big spaces like the core room at the very end, the game did have a tendency to slow down. Another thing: in the credits, "Co-director" is misspelled as "Vo-directot" ;)
That's litterally all the complaints I have about this game, at least those that I can think of now.
