I'll keep it short, since there's not a ton to really say about this game.

It's a fun skating sandbox game. It leans really heavily into simulation territory without being too complicated and overwhelming. If EA's Skate is Battlefield and Tony Hawk is CoD, then I'd say Skater XL is Insurgency. Realism is a huge component of it, but it's not on the level of a true sim.

Graphics are good enough, gameplay is solid -if a little weird at times. Skating half pipes or any vert ramps is a bit janky in this game. Sometimes leading to you becoming welded to the ground while simultaneously being launched forward at light speed. I think it's something to do with the physics simulation not knowing what to do on vert. It'd be great if they fixed that.

The only thing I'd really say is a con is the lack of stats menus by default. XXLMod takes care of that, though. Once you've got that mod and have tweaked your settings to your liking, the game is absolutely the best skating game you can buy at the moment.

it's ok i guess

Having played the original standalone and Day of Infamy for a while, this one was the game I'd been waiting for a long time.

I can safely say it's worth the admission price. This game provides fun, fast paced yet realistic combat and loads of gun customization. The Co-Op modes are fun, the PvP is frenetic and brutal -yet rewarding.

The long and short of it is this; If you like tactical shooters, this one is worth buying.

The devs are super communicative with the community and actually listen to input from us, which means issues are fixed in a reasonable amount of time, features are added regularly and it's made me appreciate this game so much more.

My army was 12 men strong, we ran out of food and I had to sell my clothes to feed them.

I led my squad to victory using nothing but an AK and a pair of flattering daisy dukes.

This game is amazing.
