i highly recommend this game. its one of the hidden gems in the industry, whether you play racing games or not, this one is worth picking up, the grind and difficulty relies heavily on your equipment and skill, very fun not to mention the game is stupid DIVERSE, you have the traditional races, the demolition derby's for freaks out there, and stunt mode for ragdoll fun! the tracks are filled with objects that you and your opponents can smash through, there are also special tracks or called in game "special stages" you get to do demolition derby on arena's, or race on speedways, or go crazy in figure 8 races! the car selection is also very diverse, you can drive banger's from the junkyard, to fully tuned street cars, the cars are also very different from one another, you can drive the tankiest vehicle or the fastest vehicle in each class, you can drive supercars, muscle cars, tuners, and trucks! plus the hiddden vehicles! i recommend this game if you wanna pick up a casual game that can get hard as you progress through game that has alot of replay value or if you just wanna mess around without getting judged for your driving style and how you want to play the game! wanna destroy the opponents to win? sure, wanna race fast? sure.

Also important read! theres a problem with the game requiring windows live to operate and since its not supported anymore, you might have to do some tweaking in order for the game to work.

Alright, after growing up and finally getting the hang of it, ill do another MORE accurate review on how I feel about this game:

Review: Ok, this carmagedon is actually really good BUT there are a few things on why I still won't recommend it. List below.

Pro's:

The game looks BEAUTIFUL. Man, any carmageddon fan would agree this looks the BEST in the series by FAR, its not a technological advance in graphics, but that's not the point of this game anyways, especially if you knew how this game came to be. (It started as a kick starter backed game, there's a previous called Carmageddon:Reincarnation which already looked good, but this updated version takes the cake. Also the previous has some severe issues which I will list below.)

Performance is a ALOT and I mean ALOT better than the previous version, the previous loved to drop frames like hell and crash into oblivion. All of those got patched in here and performs WAY better now, it runs really smooth too. And I don't have RTX3090 GOD PC status. So that says something.

Models is.... GOSH DAMN! Any carmageddon fan will BLAST upon seeing the new models for the cars! All of them were remastered into something even BETTER especially the Tashita, Eagle, and the tow truck known as the Towmeister which is made to look like a rabid pitbull! Buildings and the rest look good too, not by a long shot, but that's not the main point, the peds look low res sadly, but you could tear 'em up in various ways so its fine for me, plus your gonna kill 'em anyways and drive off, not feel guilty about them. Also you can kill Trump and Hilary Clinton, that's a bonus👍

Humour is very inline for me, they have a BDSM addict in here as a driver. That's enough, also ball gag black is a paint here👍 Also Twig N. Berries!

A.I in here is FAR better, the A.I here is DANGEROUS and RUTHLESS, they will punish you severely if you drive and do things like a piss cheesecake. Also the COPS here are someone YOU DON'T WANT TO F*CK WITH. At least later on in the game, those bastards are REALLY dangerous and would take some time to take em out. (NFS GET BETTER A.I FOR YOUR COPS DAMMIT)

Cars feel different and encourages you to do DIFFERENT things with 'em. The variety in here is huge, Super cars to f**king semi-trucks, but because of those, you won't do the same tactics unless your a piss cheesecake. Wreck with the semi, and race with the supercar, simple as that.

Neutral:

The way you play here compared to the previous one's is VERY different, in the original you get barely any power ups and you just kill and RAM THE SH*T OUT OF EVERYONE in the old games. In here because of the more "grounded" nature of the vehicles, the cars here are NOT easy to wreck, you will need to carry more speed and even then, they will just be stunned. And because of that, the game relies HEAVILY on you farming the sh*t out of the power ups in here.

Physics is REALLY annoying here, its stuck between this line where in the original once you go 15mph you can no longer turn, and the later games better handling responsiveness but lack of GRIP and WEIGHT. Its stuck in the middle but slightly leans more on the later games, so yea, Good luck if you missed an opportunity for a good wreck👍 (main problems is really the lack of WEIGHT and GRIP really. All of them feels like they have a bald tire put on 'em.)

Con's:

Physics is like what I stated above. And especially in your first try, you will just get mad, it will take some time before you get used to it and even then, it will more likely screw you up.

A.I: there strength's are also there weaknesses, the game is not KIND to you, the A.I loves to get your ass in this game and target you sometimes. And they just won't back off, better wreck them fast.

Getting 100% and unlocking the last car in here is HELL, the devs are sadistic, they want you to finish all 16 classic carma races ALL WAYS, that's by Racing, Wrecking all, and SLAYING ALL THE PEDS. It will take some BULLS*IT ton of time and I really hate how they did this to keep you playing it more. Bruh. At least its only 16... Also the way you unlock customization for your cars. You need to find 40(I think?) Hearts in this game to unlock all customization and one livery is locked behind a dead multiplayer. Just BRUH.

Conclusion: it's a good game BUT it has problems, one of them is not being KIND to new players, and damn the physics... It honestly pissed me off the first time, you will need to really learn the game. And in my scrappy opinion, this SHOULDN'T be your first carmageddon, it should be the carmageddon max pack. This is however a good 2nd.(♥♥♥♥ carmageddon 2's missions.) But you do you. Its a thumbs up for me, but a thumbs down for new-comers. (I still love you devs please don't smash my bi*ch up)

-Ok... This carmageddon game is AWFUL, PERIOD. Man... why.... this title is my favorite when growing up alongside twisted metal, both this and twisted metal had taken a different take on the vehicle genre, both of these games created a new genre(or made it known) known as vehicular combat, before games like vigilante 8, Mad Max, both this and twisted metal are known to be the ones that sparked this underrated genre, Man... so dissapointed with this carmageddon, Note: I HAVE PLAYED THE ORIGINAL. The handling in this game is absolute ASS. the car feels like the fraud broko from carmageddon 1, yet that vehicle handles better than 90% of the vehicles here. heck vlad's dragster might even be a good contender for the awful handling this game has. Man, this game had alot of potential, i actually enjoyed it, but i got fed up with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ handling physics i decided to refund this garbage of a "Carmageddon". SO MUCH POTENTIAL yet wasted on the poor handling model. even ps1 racing games did the handling physics better.-

WOW WAY TO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MAKE THIS GAME UNPLAYABLE OVERKILL YOU F**KING ASSES!
