Reminds me of BF2042. Very good base but I think the sound could be a bit better.

The audio in this game sounds pretty bad in comparison to modern FPS titles. Think the studio should attempt to re-record some of the audio in a future update.

Good game but the story isn't quite as focused as Yakuza 7. The prologue takes a bit too long before you are actually allowed to play. A lot of the main story missions also veer off and force you to do side content that takes the focus away. Would have preferred to just skip the side content in order to focus on the main story. The Yokohama part of the story was much more interesting to me but YMMV.

Combat is much better though, with the addition of knock-backs into teammates and the environment to do extra damage. Also Kiryu plays very uniquely compared to everyone else.

Unlike Yakuza 7, Sotenbori isn't in game but it is replaced by Honolulu. Personally, I think Yokohama is still the better setting but having an American setting was unique.

It's pretty much Pokemon.

You collect your Pokemon, you battle, there are various types of them and certain types counter other types. Each Pokemon will also make its own unique noise.

Pains me to give CS2 a thumbs-down, but the current state of the game doesn't really speak for itself.

A game released in 2023, should, under no means have 30 FPS be a target.

I highly recommend that potential buyers wait for this game to go on sale at the end of next year (2024) and buy it then. Hopefully by then, the optimization issues will be fixed.

2025: I would still not recommend this game. I revisited it a year later and its still a mess with bugs everywhere. Specialized industry does not level up at all, and beware if you used any of the free DLC building types (Eastern European, French, etc...). You can play the same exact save an hour apart, and your second save will not load the DLC, causing your city to automatically bulldoze the buildings since it is a missing asset. I simply do not understand how this game launched in this state and why a year later, these issues have not been fixed.

Outdated design, outdated graphics, and outdated animations.

If this game came out half a decade ago, I'm sure it would be one of the greats. But in 2023, having to go through 3 menus just to 3 menus and loading screens just to get to your next destination is just bad design.

The cutscenes are just the decade old method of slightly zooming in on an NPC as they stare blankly at your soul. There's no other animation to them besides that. Every NPC moves the same whether they are angry at you, or pleased with your choices. NPC voice acting is also very monotone.

The main storyline is also badly written.
