It's not the masterpiece that a lot of the top reviews are claiming, but it is a very well polished gimmick that digs into very interesting themes. Still, it stumbles a bit with the execution.

The art, writing, music, and voice acting are fantastic. One of my bigger issues with game is that - because the content can be seen in almost any order - the player can't get any kind of meaningful revelations about the overarching plot until a big exposition dump at the very end. Before that, it's just the exact same vague hints over and over again. The whole story is only about 4 hours, so it's not like you have to wait all that long for the reveal at least.

I also find some of the points where the path does/doesn't split kind of questionable. For example (minor spoilers): Regardless of what choices you make beforehand, leaving her in the basement at any point will always result in the same path, but just about every slight variation of choices you make before picking a [Slay the Princess] option will result in a dramatically different outcome. I understand the important story reasons for the latter, but then there should be more variations of the former for consistency.

Those are just minor complaints with the premise though. Overall, I enjoyed my time with the game.
Still, I'm glad I got it during the Summer Sale, because that price tag is pretty steep given the game's length.

Little Noita wizard can learn all sorts of magicks, like bouncy balls and suicide buzz saw.

Like most people, I'm not a fan of the monetization system they're using. I understand that it's all for the card economy and whatnot but I don't like feeling that I have to pay for competitive.

On the other hand, this game is awesome. Each round is like a puzzle trying to manage all your lanes and your gold, I love it. You can get all the commons and most uncommons for a combined price of $12CAD or make do playing preconstructed or casual phantom draft for the low low price of $0.

Damn this game looks good.
And I don't just mean it looks fun, the art is amazing, the controls are decent and the puns are endless. The chapters vary in style and quality but it's a fun game overall.

In my personal opinion chapter 1 is the best, you get to explore Daventry, help the townspeole (and trolls) and collect achievements for doing stupid things all while helping poor young Grahm become a knight.

The puzzles are often fairly easy and the chapters become increasingly linear, still, I have high hopes for chapter 5. Go team Vee, all hail prince Caduceus, and R.I.P. Achaka.
