Was super excited to play this game, even bought it on release and was happy with how the game was heading. Now after some time I wanted play again and see how it's progressed but it's kinda disappointing. Solo play is terribly boring and pointlessly difficult in some aspects, the missions are bland and repetitive see there DLC's for more missions. Bears can still spawn 2 meters from you in the exact same place as the last one.

Some missions have animals guarding locations and it's really nice how they also can keep getting instant full health by walking back to the spawn point while fighting you.

The map looks good from afar when you actually explore it give's the feeling like there's only 10 different types of foliage through out the whole game since it's all the exact same on every mission and every map.

Again really bland player experience same map over and over restarting from scratch every time (Yes I know you can buy stuff in the workshop) the grind for it seems pointless, its grind grind grind to get better gear to grind more with little rewards. Which might have been okay if the game was in a better state.

Buggy, Laggy, Micro stutters... Even playing with an RTX 4060 on High settings 1080p the game goes form 115fps (DLSS and Frame Gen on) to 30fps or sometimes even 20fps and outright freezes when world chunks load and unload (16 core Cpu 32gb ram and 7000Mbps Samsung Nvme so no excuses here) and having them non dynamic means the map is cut into block with certain blocks unlivable as each time you walk around these grids the game is loading and unloading entities non stop.

Another mission I failed because you have to do some scan thing they tell you to place this beacon and of course I didn't watch a 30 minute walk through before doing it and was swarmed with waves of animals trying to destroy it.

Firstly a warning would've been nice as I could've prepared, secondly I killed about 20 animals in a 1 meter radius and by the time the beacon was destroyed the game was at a solid 16 fps and at this point I might as well go play MS PowerPoint for a smoother experience.

So now the beacon is broken, the mission is impossible I had to go all the way back to the ship and restart the mission losing 1 hour all this for 75 currency to spend in the workshop.

Honestly disappointed in how it's turning out, if you have a couple of friends then it might be an okay experience since it helps take away the repetitive nature of the game. Also if you're not into the slow causal style of playing games, spending time on decorations and making a nice house and a world that will get wiped between 6 hours to 30 days depending on the mission then this game definitely is not for you.

I can see a lot of people enjoy this game even in this state but for someone whose more of a fast paced player always dying to bugs, glitches, lag, invisible walls, pointless illogical animal hordes, The Bear from Dragon Ball Z using instant transmission to teleport next to me and my iron anvil made out of material 100x stronger than the house breaking in a windy storm because the wooden door was left open for 30 seconds. It's just not a fun experience.
