I would have loved to rate this game positive, because i love the idea, setting and the immersive story. this game could have been so much better if certain things would have been fixed or overworked.

i really hope to see a sequel, without the mentioned issues

Nice little Slasher, with dark & cute artwork. Worth a playthrough!
Gets a little repetitive in the Pilgrim DLC.

A nice little game and totally worth 1 or even 2 playthroughs

If you are the kind of player who gets annoyed quite easy, best stay away from this game.

The mechanic behind "babysitting" that big heater, can be really frustrating.
If you forget to turn off overdrive, you lose the game and kind of have to start again (or get thrown back to your last autosave which cost you a few minutes of gametime...)

I think it was a really bad decision from the devs to handle things like they did.. it feels like they just wanted to extend playtime for this game by making you lose it, in such a stupid way (i.e. you pause the game, build some stuff, release a policy, check on your scouts, then you speed up time in game, but forgot that you still running overdrive, boom, game over)

i like the difficult and challenging economic decisions one has to make in this game and ofc the connected outcomes, but the overdrive mechanic can tilt you quite fast. early to mid to end game feels quite similar in every playthrough and its just really frustrating to start from your last autosave, just because you forgot to switch off a controller after zapping through a lot of sheets and menues....

still a thumbs up for the discounted version

really hoping to see this game evolve in the sequel

I once refunded the game because i didnt like the controls basically. It was feeling very cluncky, felt like my inputs didnt match the characters action.

2 years or so later i gave the game another try and i finally got the hang on it.
Idk how many updates this game had since then, but it feels a lot more enjoyable now.

the only cons i can give so far is, that combat indoors can be quite frustrating. especially to new players, losing a character you grind skills on because of bad indoor camera or whatever feels broken. having to start over with a new character in the same world also feels less enjoyable.

considering trying the cure mod or something like that, just to witness some endgame content finally.

Early Access Review

I am completly new to the series and so far i am enjoying the game.

Started my first run with USA on standard settings.
I legalized all drugs, did run a liberal/solialistic police state with very low crime, pushed for renewable energy and electro cars, had a really bad credit rating and still sometimes my approval was way above 80%.
The impact of my decisions on economy as well as voters opinion seemed kind of unrealistic a lot of times.
Still i am experimenting with all the content, before i think about going for a harder difficulty.

So far i enjoy the game but i really hope for more and better balanced options to choose from.
Standard starting settings on USA seems way to easy. In the end i tried sliding without any thought and cancelling stuff just to finally get to voters unhappy about me. Actually it was way harder getting a negative approval than vice versa. I hope the devs gonna balance that.

The game can be quite catchy, but still it lacks some deepness in my opinion.

I am sticking to my thumbs up :) Game was worth the Winter Sale Buy

it is a really punishing game, but not for good. already somehow annoyed, but still wanna finish the damn story mode. story is probably the only nice thing about this game! and the game keeps ruining it for you with all those bugs... bugs everywhere you look. UNFINISHED GAME!!! SHAME ON YOU DEVS!

if you dont mind bugs and glitches, and the fact this game doesn't really feel like a survival game + if you like a rich story, you might enJOY this game after all

story is enjoyable, gameplay unfortunately repetitive and kind of boring after a few hours in it.
finishing any mission in stealth is nearly impossible due to crappy NPC AI!
big open world, but somehow vast and empty. sometimes this game just feels like a walking simulator and there isn't much to see cuz of the fact, that everything somehow just looks the same...

hallucinating is fun and colourful though, still this game lacks freedom of movement/actions (climbing sometimes just feels bugged, interacting with NPC's too)

i feel this game was like an overambitioned project barely finished

gonna finish the storymode, but i doubt that i am going to buy any DLC's, neither i am replaying the game - even though it should have different endings, the gameplay just isn't catchy enough to play this game for a second run (and lots of running it is ...)

most of my playtime so far i spent hunting for sidequest and searching crates and chests (similiar to dying light, repetitive lockpicking and crate cracking)

still the story is somehow great, unfortunately there are some cutscene bugs too, making this game less and less enjoyable with each bug and glitch you run into :(

4/10 points (I'd give it 6/10 if the devs would lower the regular prize at least 50%
just shameless to sell this game to the cost of a triple A !!!
