Great game, impressive AAA-quality gameplay by a 3 person dev team. Almost perfect, I only have a few issues with it:
- Fog appears linear meaning visibility is hampered at all distances. It should instead use an exponential curve to primarily affect view distance. Rain could also be made slightly less annoying.
- Holding down 3 to res by default is awkward, it should instead be bound to a general purpose interact key because of how often you will be using it.
- The epilepsy seizure warning should not be shown every time you go back to the main menu. It should at the very least be skippable.

Rain World was not meant to be a challenging game, but its ecosystem does not care about you. You are just part of this world like all the creatures around you. You may encounter an enemy at any time, even cornering you with no way to escape. Alligators fall from the sky and a spear can come flying at you from off-screen. You have limited time to gather food and find shelter before the deadly rainfall. This world is unforgiving and sometimes unfair.

If you don't mind the unpredictability and some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths, the game offers an interesting world for you to explore and interact with the ecosystem. Each creature has unique traits and form dynamic relationships with the player throughout the game.

It has been addicting hence I have 11 hours on it from playing actively, but I feel like I'm hardstuck only collecting max 2m BLC each restart while the cheapest upgrades cost nearly 1m BLC without increasing my collecting by much. I may be doing something wrong but being idle barely yields me enough resources at this stage of the game and it has slowed to a crawl.
