game goes unreasonably hard, especially for that price

the deckbuilding is great, and the fact that there is rollback is genuinely hilarious

if you are exceptionally stupid (like me!) the game has a mode that will make it easier to deduce things. i had to play with it on. i am not ashamed. i had a fun time.

bejeweled 3 is better. play that. it's genuinely like crack

this is a vibe over a game. i'm not quite sure what is being aimed for here, but i'd still recommend a cautious look. there's not much meat on the bones of the actual, more gameplay-heavy part of the game (the racing) and my impression is that they wanted to build an interesting world, but i think this would fall flat for most people.

setting aside whatever personal feelings you might have for the story, this is just a mediocre video game.

the gunplay does not feel satisfying, the level design might be worse than halo 1's, there are virtually no memorable or interesting set pieces, and the ending feels terribly unsatisfying.

this game only exists because they said there should be more Halo and so more Halo there was. Bungie (at the time) was right, it should've ended with 3/Reach. There is nothing here, except perhaps a game to play to point out why it was a good idea to not make more games.

inti create's strangest game yet for sure. worth a look at the very least, but do not expect it to be a metroidvania or an average 2d platformer.

this is the best way to play FF2

that aside. this video game is psychotic. truly for the insane. if i didn't have 4x exp and money i don't know how i would've done it. this game came out 25 years too early. guest characters coming in and out underleveled that do nothing. weird stats. needing to essentially punch yourself if you don't turn on the guaranteed HP.

truly a video game for the insane of mind. strongly recommend playing it.

works well on steam deck

when using a controller in desktop mode i had to set a controller to keyboard input instead of xinput. every game past 9 will work with xinput but for some reason PoFV does not

struggles a bit to run with the steam deck when plugged into a monitor in desktop mode if fullscreened - windowed at a lower resolution works better

other than that it's the nsane trilogy and this is a review like 6 years later not sure what i would say. people hate these remakes because sometimes depth is messed up or something i dunno game plays fine
