Great game, definitely legendary. Timeless fun!

Grand Theft Auto IV isn't just the best GTA, it's one of the greatest games ever made. A masterpiece of storytelling, atmosphere, and gameplay that captures the raw, gritty essence of Liberty City like no other. The depth of its characters, the weight of its narrative, and the realism of its world make it an experience that still holds up today. Sadly, it's also one of the most underrated entries in the series, overshadowed by its successors. But for those who appreciate true immersion and emotional depth in gaming, GTA IV remains unparalleled.

Nostalgia, most people might hating on it, but even until now I don't know why this game is so good. Dense forests, good soundtrack, the rifle is pretty punchy and it is satisfying to hit a target, even if they only flinch. And it is kinda hardcore too when you get spotted and locked on by the enemies, the only thing i hate in this game is the pistol lol.

Btw if you don't have sniper sight and missing radar, it's because of you are playing this game on modern system.

1. To fix this you must download dxwnd, it will fix most of your graphical issues, the downside is you will have wndowed mode borders when u play. But i dont really mind.
2. Disable steam overlay if you have space button to screenshot issue.
3. Lock fps to 30 or 45 to fix soundtrack issues, the cool beautiful soundtracks in this game should play whenever u spawn or at mission start. but it seems it's not working as intended on modern system! rather lock the fps or you can wait until the soundtrack appears by itself, usually plays per check point.

1000/10 from me, i remember playing this game alot in 2009, can't believe it's on steam. Maybe they should add World War II Sniper Call To Victory aswell here! i'll buy it. Oh these Groove Games.. really groovy!

Playing through steam = stutter and heavy lag + crackling sound issues, run straight from the exe = smooth stable performance. Ubisoft sabotage steam? or steam hates ubisoft?

This game is very very good only WHEN it run properly.

I always thought the animation was that bad, but if you run it on a correct speed, everything seems so normal. Need some tweak to run this on modern systems, all i managed to do to fix this game is by turning on HPET on bios and then using "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true" by cmd command (Run by Administrator) ofc.
Then added some sweetf* graphics mod and everything is set, fixed the washed out color.

I hope it can help for others too, might work, might not, different system, different result.

This game have a really big potential if its done right on PC, but due to lousy lazy port, it destroys that potential, it could be a big game with massive modding community if the developer ported it right. I also love the customizations and side missions the city design.

It is very a very fun game. I have to say it is better than 3 aestethically and of course better that failed "trilogy definition" game that is overhyped this year lol

I hope volition give this game attention and do something about it but well i can only wish, we can only wish they would do something with this game at all.

I would give a thumb up.

But
Then after 5 hrs of gameplay.
1. I go to sleep in the game because i want to quit for a while, it is written there "game saved" yes GAME SAVED.
2. Then i exit the game to go to work in real life
3. Then i came home
4. I played the game again
5. I pressed CONTINUE on the mainmenu
6. I Go to my virtual internet cafe
7. All the things in my virtual internet cafe are gone except for my money count.

It seems this game does not save objects that you have been stored before, only saved your money count.
It was beautiful artistic virtual internet cafe i made..

This is so horrible or is it just the game mechanic?? A simple task for a video game but the dev could not get it right.

Better than epic games in terms of performance and maybe in other things. Steam version is way smoother with 0 performance issues in my old laptop. But that free version epic games lags hard, they probably cryptomined ur PC lol stay away from EPIC GAMES!!!

Need more optimization on the outdoor maps. It runs weird and sluggish especially the rail part at all setting settings. my rig is not so potato. but dont know what to except with pushed to the limit source engine at this point. hopefully crowbar collective will fix that performance issues ASAP.
Modernized childhood memories. i used to get the illegal version of this game as a test. but finally decided to buy it and it is even better on steam version. money well spent. i dont usually finish any video game after buying it, i am too old for video games maybe? im with that generation who are born with doom, duke nukem, hl1 hl2, fear, cs 1.6 , internet cafe and lan party, used to be hardcore gamer, but now i can't evem stand more 30 minutes in any video game. but not with blackmesa, i will finish it and will take all the achivements. can't wait until xen part. played 5 minutes on xen map and i am in shock of how it changed and revamped. in the original hl i used to hate xen because it looks like unfinished game map. now i loved it.
thanks for bringing childhood memories with modernized class.

300 hrs on this game, then hiatus for a year, then yesterday night im playing with a bot. i realize how boring this game still. even worse now full of overweight spoiled children in the server

23 hrs in this game very bad experience also very racist community calling me n word and i am white girl, also very misogynistic.
