UPDATE: Sony has ruined this game for a strong part of its playerbase. People who have supported the game and the devs, suddenly not allowed to play it. It was nice knowing ya.

As much as I love the Co-op gameplay of Helldivers, I have to give it a negative review for the server issues. There are also frequent crashes when playing on crossplay, so even if you get in and want to play with your friends on console, chances are either you or them will crash, kicking you out back to the server issues.

I can't play the game I paid $70 for. Will update once this is resolved.

Update: Server issues have been resolved! Changing to a positive review. Go spread some freedom helldivers.

Played in the Open Beta and was hooked ever since. I wouldn't believe all the bad reviews as the gameplay is unique and fun . Characters are unique in their own regard so you have tons of play styles to choose from. The servers CAN use some work, but it happens very rarely, atleast on my end.

Deus Vult brothers.

Very good and smooth gameplay. Every role has it's purpose. A Medic heals, a sharpshooter does more single shot damage, a Commando uses assault rifles to mow down hordes, a support specialist can carry lots of weapons and ammo. Demo can take out large groups at once and the Firebug does lots of damage over time.

WARNING
You will sink a ton of hours into this game. In order to play on the hardest difficulty, you need to level up your perks to max, and that takes a while.

Watch out for Flesh pounds.

The controls are a bit twitchy but it's the best tactical shooter I've played. On par with SWAT 4

This game has really come around. I have put about 100 hours in in the past 2 weeks. New engine really brought it back and the new map is awesome.

Good job devs, you saved dayz
