Beware before buying this! This is nothing more than a port of the original mobile version of this game. So be sure to understand what you're getting before buying this. It is not up to date like the mobile version. Not even close. It is basically the old v1.0.0.0 with some pieces of various updates added, up to about 2.0.7, but even then it's not all of each updates content/updates/fixes/etc. It's just parts of it.

This is a decent game especially for how small the development team is. However, it does come at the cost of being an outdated port on PC. For whatever reason, they have yet to ever push any of the newer updates from the current mobile game to the Steam version. This means there are a lot of things missing.

- No pets.
- No wings.
- No online/multiplayer/leaderboards.
- No dungeon finder.
- No Druid class.
- Lots of missing items, stats, etc.
- Lots of missing zones, bosses, quests.
- No seasons/season based content.
- No holiday based content.
- No cash shop.

With this, the game also runs pretty poorly as it was just a quick port to PC with no optimization or stabilization done. So the game will absolutely wreck your system while playing. (To help with this some, use the highest available vsync option in the games options. It will help with the CPU usage a ton.)

There are bugs such as issues with targeting/clicking on certain things.

As for the good, there is no cash shop in this version at all. It's completely removed. While I did list it above as missing, not that I really want it, it does mean you do not have the option to buy useful things, even with gold, such as more storage pages, character slots, etc.

I wouldn't recommend this unless you really understand what you're getting and are fine with it being outdated. Buy it on sale like I did for cheap, better than spending full price on something this outdated. Otherwise, just get the mobile version and play that instead.

In its current state; I would not recommend this to anyone.
This was a rushed release of a 'remaster' that has basically done very little in regards to doing justice to the original. The game is pretty much the same across the board, bugs included as not much was actually fixed from the original game.
The list of things done would be:
      • The game is updated to DX11. (Runs worse than original on DX9 though.)
      • Shaders have been adjusted for fog, lighting, bloom.
      • Textures have been 'touched up'; basically automated tools to "upscale" them is how it feels/looks.
      • Camera config adjustments have been added.
      • FOV adjustments have been made.
      • 'Very Hard' difficulty was added.
      • The leveling scale between zones has been fixed/adjusted to actually scale with the player.
      • Loot drops were 'rebalanced' to be more focused towards what you would actually use. (However, has a handful of bugs currently.)
      • File format changes to prepare the game for modding.
However, with that list aside, the game still retains basically every bug/crash/game-breaking quest issues etc. that the original had.
This release is basically nothing more than a port to DX11 with very little effort/work done otherwise, doing little justice to being branded a 'remaster'. It's more or less a glorified beta test where the players are being unpaid to find and report all the issues, again, for the game. The tons of reports made for the original game seem to be ignored.
Modding was mentioned as being a focus with this remaster, which I will say is a thing they did do, but right now it's gated behind their inability to multitask and share tools with the community to allow us to mod the game properly. The .pdb is now included, which was a request I made and am happy to see, but with the massive changes to the file formats and no public released info/docs/tools at this point, spending more time to re-reverse the game data is not interesting to anyone.
Along with that, modding this game on the games Steam forums is basically frowned upon and will result in your thread being locked and you potentially being banned/punished.
Until actual communication with the devs happens, and we actually see a commitment to the future of this 'remaster', I would not recommend anyone buy this. Get a copy of the original for cheap elsewhere and you'll have the same experience pretty much. (Use the community-made patch for the original to adjust the difficulty if desired etc.) For now, this is nothing more than a beta test where you, the player, are expected to be doing their job for them, all while being unpaid.
KoA is an amazing game that deserves much better than this. This 'remaster' just really missed the mark. Hopefully, things get better, but until they do I wouldn't really recommend this in its current state.
                    Edit - Post Patch #1
And now they've removed one of the main pluses to modding for this game; including the .pdb of the game exe. Great work... way to live up to your promise of making modding better. Avoid this 'remaster' and Kaiko altogether. This has been a complete joke.

                      Target Audience: Anyone / Everyone

The Room Three is a great addition to the 'Room' series with a much better overall experience than the first two in my opinion. This is a simple and relaxing puzzle game with a fun lore behind it to keep you interested in finding clues/notes left behind while advancing from room to room.

                      Graphics: Good / Decent

Lighting was a bit rough in some locations but overall, the graphics for this series are excellent and the atmosphere plays well with how things are organized in each area. There are some dark spots that made it a little hard to see some of the things needed to be clicked though.

                      Sound/Music: Good / Decent

Compared to the first two, I wasn't too attached to the music and sounds in this one. Everything fits fine though with what's going on and flows well. I would say the first two had better music though.

                      Content/Story: Good / Decent

Compared to the first two games, this one is way better. The game is longer and the story is more interesting. The only issue I'd say is the ending after your first play through is a bit stale. (Won't spoil it but it wasn't anything special or unexpected by the time you get to the end.)

Content wise, it was nice to see the third have a lot more content and that there is actual purpose to replay the game multiple times with the 'Fate' system to get alternative endings.

                      Price: Good

These games are priced fairly for the content given, they are smaller indie titles with a relaxing pace. This one also has multiple endings with a reason to replay it which is much better than the first two.

                      Target Audience: Anyone / Everyone

The Room Two is a fairly simple puzzle style point and click game. The only "limitation" that some younger people may have is the fact that this game does use some cursive writting in letters. However, all of the required information is not in those letters at least.

                      Graphics: Good / Decent

The game is fairly simple, lighting is a bit dark at times when trying to see/read something. But overall, looks fine for what it is.

                      Sound/Music: Good / Decent

The music fits the atmosphere pretty well, but some sounds were a bit odd or could have been a little better.

                      Content/Story: Fair / Decent

I wouldn't say this has the best story line or really makes much sense based on the first few rooms vs. the last room. If you don't find and read every clue or narrative related text, you'd probably be completely lost as to what happens with the ending. Given this game basically targets anyone of any age, I wasn't really expecting much in terms of any amazing story though.

The puzzles are a bit too easy in most of the rooms, where the game literally guides your camera to the next thing to click pretty often. There isn't that much thinking or puzzle solving overall, and feels more like a hand-held 'click this' type experience.

Harder puzzles would have been a nice addition.

                      Price: Good

The Room series is fairly cheap, made by indie devs. and goes on sale on and off. Don't expect hours of gameplay out of this or any type of repeat gameplay. This is a one and done kind of game but for a few dollars, it's a fun little time killer to relax with.

Like the first 'The Room' game though, the game is too short. More puzzles, added content, etc. could really help these games out to be more interesting and get more people to buy it.

Perhaps make a new version that allows people to create their own room puzzles and share it via the Steam workshop. :P

                      Early Access Review
                      Update: 08/21/2020

At this time, I discovered the infected file and have worked with Naxia's lead developer to get this resolved.
The game has just pushed an update which fixes this issue and the game is no longer infected.

I have not played the game yet, thus I cannot give a review on the actual gameplay. I will leave my review with this information for the time being as this is potentially important information to some when making a purchase choice.

I have changed my 'Not Recommended' to 'Recommended' as the developers did work with me to get this resolved. My review IS NOT related to actual content/gameplay!

                      Full Disclosure:

I originally purchased this game on 08/16/2020. Upon launching the game the first time, I noticed the game dropped unwanted files and immediately dug into things. I quickly discovered the game is infected with an old bitcoin miner that is only partially working (it wont actually mine). The game loaded an infected dll that would attempt to connect to a remote server and execute code at runtime, however the remote servers were all offline/dead. I posted the information I found and reversed from the infected files then refunded the game as I was not planning to play it after this.

The developers reached out to me shortly afterward and began working with me to get this resolved. I received a key for the game from the developers at this point to help validate that any fixes they push are correct and that the game is free of any other issues/infections.

                      Previous review information:

This game was, unintentionally, infected with a virus due to an asset on the Unity store. You can read the full info I created about this here:https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/1049220/discussions/0/2801756152800557606/

Divine Divinity is an awesome classic and a great example of when isometric / ARPG games were at their best. This game is a tribute to Diablo 2 in many ways and goes well above the typical 'crappy Diablo clone' title so many other similar games were branded with. This game has a lot of depth for its age with loads of side quests.

Definitely recommend this for any classic / ARPG fans out there.

                      Early Access Review
Great game and fun to play. Especially for being early access still. The developer is active and listens to feedback all the time.

Would recommend avoiding the games Discord though due to some annoying elitist kids. This game has a great fan base across the web in order locations (YouTube, Steam forums, etc.) instead.

This is an alright game that didn't really live up to what the developers kept saying during it's development. The game isn't bad and I do recommend it for anyone that enjoys ARPGs but it is no where near worth what it's priced at currently. Get it on a sale, don't buy it at full price.

The story is fairly bad and as soon as it starts you can already guess everything that is going to happen. It's an overused storyline that so many other games/books/etc. have done already so it's not really anything that exciting.

Class wise, things play fine and are enjoyable. However, currently at the end game, there isn't much variety to play. Each class has 1 main build that is basically forced/focused on based on how the game is designed. There's sets/items that let you play around with some other things, but in order to do the highest difficulty, you are stuck playing 1-2 specific setups for each class.

The game does a fairly bad job at explaining what each part of the game is as well. Could definitely use more information in the actual game vs. having to Google for info on each detail.

The game is designed for controllers with keyboard/mouse being an after thought. It plays fine/great with a keyboard and mouse, but there's a lot of things that you would just expect like tooltips, info, interactions with menus/etc. that just don't exist.

Hopefully the game continues to see updates, as it is now it's fun to play for a little bit but it doesn't really have much to keep it going for long at this point. Most of the content is pretty easy to clear though and gear up to do the higher end stuff.

I do recommend the game, but marking it as not recommended because of the price.

Played this at launch, and was completely disappointed. I haven't bothered touching it since because of how much of a let down the game was compared to the titles that came before it.

If you are a huge fan of Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas, I would highly suggest you lower your expectations coming into this. This come does not come close to them at all.

                      Content / Playtime

This game lacks content entirely. Remember all the amazing sub-quests/stories, factions, and story branching from the previous titles? Yea, forget that, doesn't exist here at least in the base release of the game. The game was so incredibly boring and completely on-rails. There is little incentive to explore or go off the path and do your own thing. There is no exciting factions like, for example, New Vegas had where you had all kinds of ways to manipulate the story or alter your outcome in the game.

There was nothing memorable playing through this game that ever made me want to come back and play it again. You can literally just casually play and still beat the full game in a few hours. The story is so uninteresting and uninspiring to want to keep playing. To a point where you just want to beat it just to beat it.

The amount of hype around this game and coming off of New Vegas excellent reviews and reception, this game totally fell flat on its face.

                      Unwanted Mechanics

A lot of [wasted] time went into parts of this game no one ever asked for. Settlements for example, is a Sims-like micro-management system that no one has ever said, "hey you know what Fallout needs?". The entire system is completely skippable outside of the on-rails requirements of the main story. Once you finish those, you can completely ignore your settlement and never visit it again and still beat the game. While it is nice to not really be required, I would have rather that development time were spent on actual content, factions, more story, etc. that would have made the game better.

                      Empty Forgettable World

The game world is so boring and unexciting. You have no moments of "oh wow" or "thats cool" in this game with the world/environment. Everything is just "get to point A" kind of mindset. Nothing really ever stands out as something you will ever feel the need to remember or go back to and "try something different". There is so much void/empty space of just filler run-around time to try and extend the playtime as much as possible too.

                      Poor Design Choices

As a means to get used to the newer version of the game when it first released, I started over my character a few times getting used to the starting offs of the game. In one of my times generating a new character, I was able to get the nuke launcher from a mob in the 2nd area you visit. The fact that you get a literal nuke launcher that early on in the game just made things so "wtf?". The weapon lineup and randomization felt so broken with how in 1 playthrough you can get so unlucky and never find a good weapon, decent armor, ammo, etc. and struggle. But then creating a new character, the first thing you kill can land up giving you something that will carry you through the entire game.

Weight limits... Oh god at launch you could basically carry 1 gun and a paper clip, anything more and you'd be over-encumbered. Inventory juggling was basically a forced feature added to try and make settlements appealing to add more fluff time of having to keep running back to 'homebase' to deal with the absolutely stupid limits.

                      Mods

At this point, the only thing I would say that gives this game any type of appeal is the modding community. (Mind you they had the bright idea of trying to profit off of third-party modders work, let's not forget that happened..)

Overall, I would not recommend this for just the base game of what they released it as. It does not live up to the Fallout name and was such a huge disappointment after all the hype and expectations after Fallout: New Vegas. The fact that they didn't stick with Obsidian Entertainment for FO4 really shows because this game does not even come close to the same level.
