This game has one of the most amazing loading algorithms ever conceived, loading everything it can into the RAM, regardless if it's used or not, so it can spawn you naked with a rock on pitch black night, hopefully you have a RTX graphics card just for that.
Unhappy with its well thought power, it also leaks memory afterwards and the problem was ignored by the developers for years who choose to release the game on Steam anyway.
In fact a version from 1 year ago worked better leaking less memory than the current one. The community knows this, reddit knows this, google knows this, even streamers knows this.
Now, I must say this, you must be a PRO developer to leak memory on a garbage collected language.
Gameplay wise is completely broken on official servers especially for solo players, even though it probably improved a lot since a year ago, the only option is less populated community servers.

PS: Now the game takes 22GB of disk instead of 10GB like the steam store says, 12 gb of worthless skins and they called it optimization. LOL

Giving a second chance, loading is even more broken, taking even more RAM. How nice of you devs, but that 8GB minimum RAM on store is a complete lie, even No Man's Sky with quintillion zillion planets doesnt take 8 GB RAM. To me this is just a poorly planned and unoptimized game made in Unity.

Before you say, ahh potato 8 GB RAM, people with 16 GB RAM have similar problems. Doesnt matter your hardware when your software is defective, it's going to blow up on ur face sooner or later and I bet none of the potato argument people know what a quadtree or octree is or how you could load and unload on demand.

It's a shame to see such poor implementation in 2019, not even their artists in modeling programs load up all assets at once.

This turned out to be an amazing survival game set in a lush alien ocean planet. Highly polished and perfect atmosphere.

Superb puzzle, longer than I expected story, amazing graphics, epic music, intuitive gameplay.
Cheers to NVIDIA and devs for giving me a free copy..

Starbound 1.3 - Spacefarer Update
What was a good space game, just got much better. This new update adds a whole new level of space exploration that the original missed.

Hidden gem, a very well done top down space shooter.

Never, never, never play this game, but in case you do.. remember, when Stanley came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left. F/F

10/10 Surprise buy. If the real world was a simulation we would be too stupid to figure it out.

best scientific/astronomy game of all times, too bad its reputation is now controlled by monkeys. RIP SQUAD :)
