I really want to like this game so much! But I just can't. I find the concept of the game so exciting but the execution just doesn't work for me - at least not on the Steam Deck. Graphics and fps aside, it's just WAY too dark, I can never see where I'm supposed to be driving. The dirt tracks are practically invisible, at least with the lowest graphic settings. Can't say if it's better with higher settings. Also driving in general is really only moderate fun for me. I'm also getting fed up with cutting things up and repairing my car over and over again. Last but not least the story is progressing far too slowly for me. I've really given it a lot of time but now I can't do any more x)

Loved the overall setting. Every book is interesting and fun in itself. The round based fighting is fast and easy enough for round-based-fighting-dislikers like me to endure ;)

Ok, so I rly enjoyed the story, and I took a lot of nice screenshots. The voice acting was very nice. I liked the singing. But what made it annoying and tedious for me was the bad navigation concept and the DRIVING! It found it little fun, hard to see out off. I wished for a skip option :(

I wish I could give a positive review because the ideas, design, and levels are so cute. I WANT to love this game but it makes me unbelievably angry to play. It is stressful to figure out the perfect solution and snap things pixel perfect. Some levels I just skipped because they annoyed me so much... so yeah. Sadly I cannot love or like the game and so for not recommend.

First time I'm playing a strategic game like that and so far I still have much fun :) it was helpful to read a guide or two about how to start the best way (before I tried figuring it out myself). I still haven't used all features and DLCs so there is still a LOT to go!

Because in real life, this job opportunity still awaits for me - I have no other option, but to play this game!
At the beginning it can be a bit challenging (if you are too eager to play and ignore the tutorials... like me...) but it's a steep learning curve :) I really enjoy the graphics and the details, the different races, the humor and well.... I am a sucker for everything cool, space related, SciFi-ish. I never played the original Startopia, so I have no expectations to be be fulfilled other than having fun! Yes it's not cheap, but it's one of those games you can put hours into without limit! I mean I even ignored my PS5 for it...

Until this day, I recommend people to play this game. It has been years that I played it, and I still have only positive feelings for it. I love how they implemented AR in this game, back then it felt very unique.

This game is def my indie-highlight 2021 already! The mix of pixel-art with high-quality lightning and rendering is so well done! I love the characters, the places feel alive, I love the story - all in all I am eager to play the full game.

As a mac user (yeah yeah I know...) it's specially awesome to have more and more games I can play!

I am totally in love with this game! Great ideas, great gameplay, great atmosphere! Yeah it is short, but it is also an indie game.. .I also wish it was longer, but even in this short time, it still felt like a awesome story ;) For this price it's totally ok that its only about 5 hours to play.

If you liked Portal(2) you like this game for sure!
