I wanted to love this game. I wanted to love it as much as Machinarium, Botanicula, and Samorost. Unfortunately the puzzles are repetitive and boring, with no variety to the mechanics at all. The puzzles in those other 3 titles are very different from one level/room to the next, and they're seamlessly integrated into the worlds & stories. After playing Creaks for I don't even know how many hours, I still don't know what the story is, and i gave up on trying to figure it out. I kept hoping that I would unlock something exciting in the next area, but it's just the same stuff over and over again.
All that said, the visuals and soundtrack are everything you'd expect from an Amanita game, but don't expect to be wowed on playability. 2/5.

What a time to be alive. Played with the right people, this game is HILARIOUS. I don't understand how anyone can rag on this game. It's easy, you can play safely "socially distant" from friends across the country, and ITS FREEEEE.
What's there not to like? Oh right... farty sounds. ::eyeroll:: Come on, people. Also, the reviewer who flat out says "party games are not my cup of tea" and then proceeds to trash the game... whattheheckwereyouexpecting?
