The good :
- Gunplay is very good. Satisfying, good range of modifications with the ammo mods that is a welcome addition. The ammo mods have a great potential with how you can balance your weapon costing more depending on the amount of mods you equip and buffs you choose in the end.
- Graphically, game is very good, gore is great, runs very well. Maps ambience and overall feel is on point. If you have any perf issues, turn off Lumen in video settings.
- Movement is a major step up in KF3. I get that people are attached to the old KF2 movement, but dashes and slides help give the game a really nervous feeling, where a well timed dash will allow you to avoid some boss attacks. Stuff you have to learn as you play, feels intuitive.
- Content wise, i'd say this is not half bad. The maps are well designed though some of them feel a bit too big at times. I'll come back to that point in "the bad". Perks are well balanced for a smooth progression through difficulties. You won't get whooped in normal, but hard or HoE with low level perks still has a major difficulty step up.

The Bad :
- Please, PLEASE Tripwire, add back the collectibles in maps. Look, I know you wanted to take a more serious turn with this game, but collectibles don't have to be goofy like in KF2. Don't think it's that hard to add, but creates a lot of stuff to do for completionists!
- Crossplay. I do not want to play with PS5 players, who barely know how to aim and don't know the button to heal themselves. YES, I did turn off crossplay, but it seems like as long as one person is playing PC and tagging with someone on PS5 in the lobby, then the crossplay setting does not matter anymore. Maybe i'm wrong, maybe i'm not. What i'm seeing is 4 console players with 2 PC players in my non crossplay lobbies. In addition, every lobby i've had with console players i've had networking issues. Unsure wether or not it's correlated, but if it is, well...
- Maps : some of them are SO large that spreading out will make spawns slow and the maps boring. While in KF2 big maps had areas separated by teleporters, here everything is open. In the future, I hope Tripwire will consider making maps like Biolapse in KF2, where you change floor each round.
- Vocal lines are bland. They try to sound funny, but fall flat to the ground. If you're going 100% serious with this game, character voice lines should sound dramatic, not like they are enjoying what's happening to them.
- Bring back the old per map achievements. Seriously, these shouldn't be missions that just reward you with XP or whatever.
- Text chat is not even there. I was playing, last wave, dropped money on the ground, wanted to tell my teammates. I can't even do that. Seriously?
- Don't give me the walk of shame to the VTOL to start playing when I can't even bring out my knife to walk faster.

Overall I get why people are disappointed. Most people thought they'd get the amount of content KF2 had after 8 years of updates. Well, no. I also think it's a good thing that they did not release more perks on launch date. Balancing is hard, and I strongly believe that perks would have been much more unbalanced if they had to work on more perks before launch. If they keep up their roadmap, I don't see an issue here.

KF3's serious turn compared to KF2 is a choice I respect, while I do think i'd have liked it more personally if it continued KF2's goofy maps and attitude with a horror ambience along with it, I think the "story missions" paint an interesting story. Hopefully they don't just drop it midway though.

Should you get this game right now? Heh, it depends. If you really liked KF2, and know how to manage your expectations, sure. But don't think you'll be playing for hundreds of hours with what's out now. I believe Tripwire was crystal clear in what content was coming at launch, and most people bashing the game did not look it up beforehand or choose to forget about it for some reason.
