This game is a painful ripoff of God of War (2018), almost every single mechanic in the entire game is just lifted from GOW and executed in much clunkier and unsatisfying ways. If you're playing this after being recommended it due to recently buying God of War, you will be disappointed. The game is a lot worse. It's a "looter-slasher" with unsatisfying combat and a story that's so generic and uninspired you will find yourself skipping every cutscene.

I should say that I don't think this game is terrible, it's just painfully mediocre.

There is no game made by supergiant that is not amazing, and I doubt there will ever be one

this game is a steaming pile of trash. the combined value of all the (basically) mandatory dlc is over 10x the amount of money that you paid for the game. this game is made by paradox, so that tells you all you need to know.
