It's true that they didn't do much. But they did it very well. This isn't shovelware. And it doesn't have anything to do with the last two dumpster fires, or the third one. And the only virtue being signaled here is self determination.

It is kind of short. And a lot of the tension disappears after you learn how easy it is to take T-800s down. The hacking mini-game... Well I've seen worse. The arsenal is pretty small.

The point is Terminator is fun again. Buy it. Play it. Gift it. Vote with your wallet. Reward this behavior. Let them know that this is what we want.

If you came here searching for nudity and sexual content, look elsewhere. The eye candy here is all scenery. This game is trying to say something. It's preachy, but at least it isn't pushing winger politics. Just keep walking if you see something you don't like.

If you're looking for wank material, (for one thing the only thing that makes less sense than paying for porn is paying for porn that you then have to work for. But also) this isn't really porn as much as a supernatural tragedy with lots of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It borrows heavily from the Silent Hill series, and not always in the best ways.

This isn't anyone's sexual fantasy. There are erotic moments, but you're punished for every one. There are no good choices. The ending isn't happy, and it certainly isn't short. You come out of this game with blue balls, a limp ♥♥♥♥, and a frown.

And all of that is if you don't beat your keyboard to death trying to get your drone to go in the right direction. Most levels have a skip button. For some reason, skipping gives you the maximum reward, achievement and all.

Bottom line: save your money for Subverse.

In a world full of disappointing franchises, Shadow Warrior continues to satisfy. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

This is a labor of love from a middle market developer. If you can look past the fact that it falls short of legendary, genera defining, life altering, perfection you'll be able to have a good time in a deep world with characters worth caring about.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this game is the way it builds on the concept of dialogue selection. It isn't perfect but if you're the kind of person who's sick of the Mass Effect system, and wishes people would try some new tricks, then this is a must play.

I recommend using the mod that allows you to have all companions accompany you at the same time. This will break combat like a discount window, so nut up and play on hard mode. This will also glitch the living hell out of all of your conversations. But this will make sure you can hear what each and every one of your companions has to say. There are many instances where you can let your companions use their personal knowledge, connections, or authority to influence the conversation.

I should note that the Natives depicted in this game have few similarities to Native Americans. From North or South America. They have more in common with pre-Roman Celtic and Saxon people. So let's please keep silly politics out of this.

Early Access Review
Not bad. You'll have to repeat the same steps a few times to unlock everything. But it's very easy. This is as casual as it gets.

If you have any complaints about the currents state of the video game industry, you have a moral obligation to purchase this game. You may as well stop complaining if you can't even do that much.

This game has one of the most satisfying endings I've played in a long time. And every step of the way there was an absolute blast. You will not regret your purchase.
