I will start with the good and end with the bad and put a tldr. at the end.

The good.

Currently I have a little over 74 hours into this game. The game is extremely fun and the community for the most part is very helpful and enjoyable to play with. I met alot of people that I looked forward to playing with at the end of the day. The dino training system while ,long and tedious, makes you feel like you accomplished something after you finially get the dino you spent 4+ hours hand feeding berrys/meats. The difficulty of the game is nothing to bawk at either. The moment you step foot on the island EVERYTHING is trying to kill/eat you. For some that might be a bad thing but for me I enjoyed earning my place on the top of the food chain (sometimes). Working together and joining/starting a trbe is key to survival in this game and if your alone your not going to make it far. With this game you will never run out of things to do or see. The Dev team with this game is constantly adding new features to this game that keeps the players interested and active so even if you think you did all there was to do woops now theres a new Map or dino to tame. Say goodbye to the wife and kids they wont be seeing much of you once you get this game. Overall plenty to do and its fun to play.

The Bad.

This game makes you work for everything and nothing is handed to you. UNLESS your an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you like to piss off people with no consequences then this is the game for you. The server I played on was a PVP server so you have to expect to watch your back and be careful of getting killed by other players. However that is not the case. PVP for this game means wait until the other player logs off for the night and bust into there base and take everything and throw their sleeping body off of a cliff or drown them. Every day i logged into my server everything that i spent hours working for was gone and I would have to respawn again like it was day 1. At first I liked the challenge, ok just build somewhere else with better doors,better defences, and hide it somewhere better. After 3-4 times repeatedly haveing to do this and not progressing in the game it got on my nerves. The worst part was out of a server of 20ish people 18 were good people and the other 2 were trolls who got to lv 45 unlocked the IED and just blew holes in everyones bases takeing everything for themselves not working for anything and makeing the game unbearable for everyone.

TLDR:

The game can be fun and has ALOT to do and explore. For the most part the community is great and fun to play with. However it only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone, just like everything else in life. If you want to avoid that I would recommend playing on a private server with friends or a small tight knit community that curbs excessive trolling. Take a look into the game before just jumping in and buying it.
