The next update really needs an exp gain ring as I am not grinding 30+ levels. That is just ridiculous and boring with no NG+. The game also really needs to highlight completed areas like Ender Lilies for eg. I am stuck at 99.6% map which is annoying af. Have compared against the maps in discussions and they are the same so ZERO idea why it isn't at 100%. These are the only 2 achievements I have left, so puts a massive dampener on the game as a whole.

Apart from that the game is ok. It's no Afterimage, Ender Lilies or Blasphemous but a decent time killer. I can't really recommend it as a whole with the achievement issues.

GOTY for me so far. Absolutely brilliant. Every area brings more stunning visuals, to the point I was excited to see new areas just so I could discover more enemies and scenery. You feel bad killing some enemies cause they're so pretty! Beautiful, relaxing soundtrack. Fun combat and the weapons are all so great you want to use most of them throughout the game. I've never upgraded so many different weapons except in souls games.

Excellent exploration and an outstanding amount of content/map size. Being able to do all endings on one save by just reloading the game is an achievement hunter's dream! I am really terrible at platforming and what I loved about this game is if a section was really hard, a new ability made it possible for me to achieve it later. I REALLY love that. It was like making it accessible without adding accessibility options.


The game only had 2 very minor flaws. The resting potions you need to teleport between smaller trees and not being able to sell excess weapons/armour/accessories. Only one major flaw is I am locked out of getting 2 achievements due to two rare ingredients I stupidly sold but I am hoping they patch that.

Despite those things, I 100% recommend this phenomenal game. I hope this game gets dlc and a sequel. It may be my favourite metroidvania ever. It's really up there for me with Ender Lilies and Blasphemous.

I really want to give this a yes but the difficulty is insane. The game is stunning and really fun, until the platforming and bosses ramp up so much I just can't finish it.

Got bored very quickly and didn't feel the need to continue the same areas over and over.

The game really needs mini maps or wider point of view.

I was absolutely loving it until the last two areas. They are just such a slog and not much fun. I rage quit on the final area. It was so tedious I couldn't be bothered anymore. Such a shame as the rest of the game was amazing.

I really enjoyed this game despite the anime vibe.(I know many people have been put off by it). It's not my thing but the combat was fast, smooth and there are some really cool weapons. I played it solo and blind first play through as a souls veteran, and oh boy it is challenging. You can tell it is made for co-op/your little helper. Especially the "O&S" of this game. monkaS. Worst ever. You still get that rewarding feeling when you beat them though.

I will still recommend this game, but I have one MAJOR gripe and that is the achievements. Like many I presume I have 1 left. "Exalted Reputation -Raise your reputation as a companion to rank 30" This is garbage to try and achieve even in the games height when it was released. (Yes my review is very late). Even if you try to grind the offline way of getting it, it is too much. And oh yes I and another player did grind for it. Still too much and didn't get it. I have 100% in all Soulsborne, many other games. This one is still too much! LOL.

I know, I know everyone compares to StS because it's literally the best. Monster Train, Roguebook and Card Crawl are very much up there with fun and how addictive they are to play "just one more round". Definitely give this one a try. Honestly.

I can't even put it into words how great this game is. I'm still grinding for that Ascension 20, and the heart on some of my characters. Just look at my hours played. No wait...please don't...

I love this game so much. You can just pick it up over and over again. If only I could ever beat BC1 though because I suck. Hahaaaaaa. I'll keep trying though because I'm dead inside anyway.. Join the dark side and give it a go.
