It's crazy how incredibly good you can make a 4X game with only two out of the four Xs.

Great execution of the WarioWare formula, music bangs (from Aether Studios so obviously) and the little bits of Aether lore scattered throughout are tremendously enjoyable. Despite being as small as it is, one of my favorite things other than Rivals from this studio.

(A thousand reviews from people with an hour in the game complaining that there are a dozen scenes where sexual assault has been toned down and no more nazi armbands... idk man.)

Game is fantastic and a pillar of indie fighting games to this day. The character designs are spectacular. Every single character is mechanically unique and deep in a way that's frequently overlooked in favor of roster size in team fighters (cough cough DBFZ). The game is infused at every point with love from the developers, has a fantastic community (of people who actually play the game), and easily makes my top 3 fighting games of all time.
