This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome and I'm impressed they could make this in such a short amount of time, relative to Fallout 3. There are bits and bobs of strange things here and there, like some quest loading issues and awkward invisible walls, but the game is cool. I do wish that this game, and even the later Fallout games, would stress greater importance of SPECIAL stats beyond maybe Endurance or Luck, but that's really up to personal application and opinion. I also find that while NV has the better mechanics and general story, it doesn't have the same cool atmosphere as Fallout 3 or even the earlier games, but that can also be ascribed to the time it took to make the game. Lastly, some bugs are a little less forgivable, like infinite loading screen glitches and the rarer instances of the game just crashing at seemingly very convenient (or rather inconvenient) times.

I give it an 8/10

There should be a disclaimer added onto this review; I am speaking as of December 21, 2022, so changes may come along. Additionally, while I give this a yes, the state of the game would make me say no.

The game itself is fine; it's very straightforward as you'd expect, and it's damn fine for a game that got so heavily memed on throughout its life cycle. However, there has been an influx of people leaving games simply because they're trolling or they are mad that they didn't get imp, basically ruining the fun and longevity of each match. I think without a proper means of penalizing these people, this issue will run rampant until interest is lost completely. On the basis of the mechanics themselves, I do recommend this game; on the basis of the playerbase, I would say to be careful or just stay away entirely.

Hades is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rad, man. It's such a blast to seemingly play the same old things, but given the spice of roguelike mechanics like random boons and the Pact of Punishment. I will say though... ♥♥♥♥ Elysium, man; that will tear you a new one, since you're gonna be seeing a lot of armored foes.

Also, for a roguelike/rogue-lite (depending on your criteria,) it has a decent story to it all. Dialogue is also almost never stale (unless you quit the game and come back, in which it'll obviously repeat itself,) and the art direction is awesome. I envy the artist that managed to draw all of that, and I've even been inspired to take up digital art because of this game. That's how bangin' it is.

DA:O is the best game out of the trilogy; I don't even care what you have to say.

I like the regular ATB style genre we saw in the classic RPG years, I like the characters, and the game feels more complete overall. DA2 felt so linear and more action-y that it made my brain bleed, and DAI tries to encapsulate parts of this game without really doing it right.

I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes RPGs as it is, and bonus: this game can run on a brick of a system, so don't even worry about not having the most pristine setup to play the game. Just do it, dammit.
