5 hours in. Story is ok. Unique and intriguing, but poorly executed and incomplete if you don't read the collectible documents.

The gameplay is boring af, excepting the combat. I frequently found myself wondering where I was supposed to go next, even when the objective was right next to me in the same room, owing to a total lack of direction in the UI. You have a map that overlays your fov, and you have a mission objective, and that's all you have to go on. That's more than enough most of the time, but I have very little patience for having to wonder where I need to go in a game like this.

The environments are boring and dry. I hate running around this maze-like place. There are few interesting things to look at. The enemies are uninspired so far. But the combat is fun, even if it's unoriginal. If you liked Max Payne's style of combat, this will suit you.

If you are desperate for something to play or just have money to burn, I'd recommend it. It's fun enough to pass the time. Otherwise, move along.

It's super early days and there's not a ton of content, but what's here is super fun and there is plenty of replayability in a sandbox environment so I'm happy to buy now and watch the game develop as I play

Actually one of my favorite games since Alyx. It's a simple, short game (2-3 hours), and the story is bad, but it has some fun surprises and apart from the minigun the gameplay is smooth and a lot of fun

Valve said the boneworks stuff is weird, and they're right -- but it's also a helluva lot of fun. For me, this game is going down as a quirky classic of early days VR. It's basically a physics sandbox with a bunch of fun puzzles and just enough narrative to keep from feeling pointless. The story elements are hacky and quirky too -- in a fun way. I would put this right up there with Alyx in terms of sheer fun, if not for polish and presentation.

It's an incredible rendition of City 17, and the game sets the bar for VR from here on out. This was the first VR experience I've played that had the length and quality of a real game.
