Early Access Review
Hey there audiophile friend. Love music? Well now you can surf your favorite music and when I mean surf it, I mean surf any music genre you are comfortable to listening in AudioSurf 2. AS2 is a leap-forward and an improvement from the original AS1. With the addition of creating your very own mod from several choices and options, you can let your imagination run wild and come up with the next trending game mode. If creativity is not your major then do not worry, you can visit the AS2 Workshop and find many types of mods, skin and game modes.

My personal favorites from the Workshop are flightPlus, Twisted Mono, and Evasion.

AS2 is a step-forward because of the improvements in generating blocks and obstacles in-sync and on the spot. The many skin mods in the workshop vary from simplistic designs to facilitate gameplay to skins with more "eye-candy" to recently skins requiring a little more power to experience the best details. My favorite skin is the Substranum Classic skin. Also Wakeboard is introduced to AS2. Basically, the mode is a stunt game mode where you actually surf to your music and take air at different times depending on the song itself. More points can be earned during "chorus" parts or when the music reaches a climatic point and continues along that pattern. Honestly, I've only played the mode 3-6 times but haven't played it since. Is it a bad mode? It was the first time I've played it but now and then, it's enjoyable.

If you are very familiar with AS1 and their modes, note some modes for now are either missing or left out but with the community taking the wheel on re-designing some of those AS1 modes, it will be possible to play those modes like Ninja Mono. Or for the more casual players, Mono Classic (or Mono Basic in the Workshop).

While SoundCloud integration feels useless for me, expect to see Last.fm integration again on AS2 like in AS1.

================================================

So for $15 you pay for Wakeboard, Mono, Mono Turbo, Pusher, Wakeboard Pro, Wakeboard Mono, but also additional modes free through the Workshop and apart from the Neon, Classic, and Sand skin, the option to download and add even more skins. Is it worth it? Totally. When it comes to listening to music and playing to your favorite music, buying Audiosurf 2 is a no-brainer.

While it is still in Early Access phase, expect some hiccups here and there and other bugs. The game is still in-development but it's nothing of bad and is playable.

The most fun you can ever experience. Mayhem, competition, and freedom to take air is right around Paradise City. Try it out.

It is a mix of simulation and arcade-style racing with various modes for variety.
