If you liked Crimsonland (a 5+ star game from back in the day) then you'll love this one. Think of Crimsonland but with a story this time and 3D gameplay. Now I will say I think I really like Crimsonland better but this is pretty darn close. The only thing I could nitpick on is that the levels don't seem to be as big. However, whereas Crimsonland had a wide open level with no obstacles, this one is completely opposite with things that can get in the way. Luckily they added a teleport skill which is useful for getting out of tricky situations. Don't get too comfortable though as the "swarm" of enemies that made Crimsonland so popular is the same and you can get overwhelmed easily. Oh...and the spiders are back but thank God the ants aren't (at least I haven't seen them yet)

Early Access Review
<note: sounds sarcastic but this review is anything but>

YES YES YES YES!!!!! I have been waiting for a game like this forever. I'm a developer so naturally I'm at my computer all day/night. I have 4 monitors and I wanted a game that I could just leave running and occasionally interact with. This is that game right now and it works beautifully.

Suggestions:

1. Ability to control time in game : It grows a little faster than I would like so I would like to slow it down.
2. Custom backgrounds: I see the ground plane and an animated sky. Would like to see more options and possibility of defining my own. How about having it on a virtual desk or window sill.
3. Tree type: How about custom tree types? An Evergreen bonsai (for us Pac NW'sters)
4. Weather: What if it snowed and flakes landed on your bonsai
5. Survival features: Water and feed your tree or it dies

Pretty much blows SimCity out of the water. Graphics, gameplay, designing. It has everything. Built with the Unity Engine the amount of mods and maps in the workshop is amazing. The developer lost some followers in their last new game (which was more of an update) but they gained them all back I'm sure plus more with this one. I rarely write reviews for games (yeah, I'm lazy like that) so hopefully that tells you something about how good this game is.
