This is a nice, short retro-style graphic adventure. The player character does not appear on screen (as in many 90s-era graphic adventures); I believe that the first-person perspective is an escape-game convention. This allows more space on screen for scenery. The game map is large enough that a quick-transport system is included. Using these teleports is necessary to progress in the game, although some teleports are optional.

The story is told almost entirely contextually. There is a small amount of dialogue, but no interactive dialogue.

Most of the puzzles make good adventure-game sense, although some "keys" are stored in unexpected locations. None of the puzzles required to complete the game are dexterity-based, which is a plus. You do need logic and a good working memory. There are optional minigames which make use of chance and/or dexterity.

An in-game hint system (gather coins to get hints, like the pieces of gum in Puzzle Agent or the crackers in Jolly Rover) makes it possible to get help with any tricky puzzles. I found that sometimes the hint system would offer hints for a different puzzle than the one I was actively working on, although I don't know if there's any way around this in the nonlinear portion of the game. Gathering coins is a puzzle in itself, but one worth pursuing.

There is currently no options menu. In particular, there is no volume control. It would be nice to be able to alter the mix of music and sound effects. There is only one save slot, so if you want to replay the game, you have to give up your old save.

The developers (I believe it's a two-person team) have been responsive to user feedback on the discussion forums.

If you like graphic adventures, I expect that you will like this game. If you'd like a demo, this is a sequel to Escape Lala, which can be played for free and has a similar style of gameplay, but is a smaller game.
