The game is free and rather short, but certainly not lacking in fun; it involves a princess healing things by playing a bullet hell mini game which rewards with witty dialogue when won. You can also retry immediately with no consequence in the case of a failure which allieviates the rage somewhat. Although not necessary to complete the story, there are lots of secrets scattered around for those aiming to 100% the game. The conclusion is pretty well done too - you can marry just about anything and get their corresponding endings.

However I feel the controls could be improved: I prefer if the functions of the "action button" are split up. I have opened the stats page too many times when I just wanted to sprint.

Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius is a surprisingly good game (even more so considering the price). It is primarily a visual novel but there are also turn-based battles littered throughout the story, and a bit of resource management thrown in.

The main story is well written and the characters are adequately developed (story-wise). The art is not the worst. There are some morally questionable decisions and I like the fact the "villain" is relatable as well as the protagonist (and his crew), they all have their own reasons for fighting. It kept me hooked right up to the end.

Not much to say about the battles, it takes place on a hex grid and you have to achieve the objective to proceed (destroy all enemy units, last x turns). The music adds to the atmosphere, and the crew members are voiced when they are selected and opening fire, which was a nice touch. However I was more interested in the story and played on the lowest difficulty to quickly win the battle and carry on, I wish there was an option to skip battles entirely.

Since it is free, everyone should give Sunrider a try. It certainly got me eagerly anticipating the sequel Liberation Day.

Greyfox is a rather short eponymous RPG in the town where the main character decides to move to, and somehow ends up experiencing critical moments of four inhabitants, with the power to decide whether they live or die. There is no combat, most of the gameplay is just fetching items to the appropriate locations.

+ Gameplay was interesting (living as four elderly residents, letting them live or die)
+ Quite a bit to explore, almost everything has flavour text
+ A couple side quests to complete (for achievements)

~ Short game, can be completed in under 3 hours even if you read all the text and getting all the achievements
~ Some glitches (if you drive down from your starting point the game fails to load some file and crashes)

- The main character has no story of her own (I think she doesn't even have a name)
- I'm not sure what the "truth" of Greyfox was
- The story has potential; it would have had more impact if the characters had more detailed backstories

I would say it's worth taking a look at on sale (I got it as part of JRPG bundle), but not at its normal price. The trading cards are also quite cheap (if that is an incentive).

A race against the sun that is everything a cow is not: fast-paced, fun, frustrating, cheap, maneuverable.

Simple controls are responsive and hoof-friendly, minimalistic backdrop and no grass is easy on the eyes and reduces distractions.

The world and leaderboard resets every day and cows like that.

Solar-powered craft is environmentally-friendly and cows like that.

Race The Sun allows a cow to fufill its lifelong dream of racing the sun.

Definitely recommended to fellow cows.

A really short visual novel with a simple story. There is only one "good" ending but I felt the bad ones were more interesting to read (if only they didn't end so abruptly).

The "good" ending was quite random but I'm interested to find out if/how the story continues from there.

This game deserves a positive recommendation.

+ Mechanics of the game are simple (basically linking identical shapes), but the puzzles still manage to be frustratingly complex at times
+ Many ways to complete a puzzle, no "model" answer
+ Varying difficulties and endless gameplay (26 sets of 25 puzzles each + daily sets)
+ Unlocked puzzles can be completed in any order, which was actually more helpful than I thought
+ Solving puzzles quickly is really rewarding
+ Easy to pick up and put down

- I tore out enough hair to make myself a wig

Hard to believe this well-written story is almost 100 years old :o

+Great voice acting (although I could not understand half of it even with subtitles ><)
+Chapter-based "play" makes progress manageable (easy to pick up where you left off)

o Maybe the story could be a little more interactive? (eg. walking around, having animations, actually decoding the notebook)

- After the intense build-up the conclusion seems a little abrupt
- Lack of actual gameplay may turn some people off

A hardcore platformer with headbanging soundtrack. Steep increase in difficulty after the first few levels (damn missiles) but headbanging soundtrack. Headbanging background figures with headbanging soundtrack. Humour, butts and headbanging soundtrack.

Wow what a messed up story :O Accurate title, really did not expect the kind of impact the game had on me. More respect to visual novels.

It sounds simple enough: dodge the walls by moving the little triangle left and right around a hexagon. But then the screen spins, the colours change and flash and the hexagon changes shape. I lose track of my triangle and it crashes into a wall and dies.

The controls are easy enough to figure out but insanely hard to master. Chipzel's music really adds to the enjoyment of the game. The steep difficulty makes beating a level all the more rewarding.

Super fun game that is worth its price.
