That was 500 hours ago, and they were half correct. I'm hooked, and perfectly fine with it. Rimworld has got to be my all time favorite game. The base game is amazing, and the modding scene just takes it up to 11. I can't recommend it enough, I've gotten two other friends addicted, and both of them agreed that Rimworld is amazing.

Content wise, the base game is a bit lacking, however in my opinion its still amazing, and an incredible platform for modders to add onto, with near infinite possibilities. It is in every way worth every cent. The royalty DLC is a little overpriced for the content added, however, I believe it is worth it just to support the developers of the game.

TL;DR: Just buy the game, its worth every cent. Base game is amazing, modding makes it even more amazing.

after 40 hours of game play i have not even made it to a different planet.

but its still one of my favorites. :D
